I never really had anyone. I never really had anyone to talk to about the stuff that goes on in my mind. I don't have anyone to share my secrets. All have is a journal and a pen. I write almost everything in it.
My parents don't care. They used to but then they just gave up on me for some reason. They ended up not coming home lately. They have been dong this for a year now. They don't come home in months/weeks and usually it's random. Yeah, they still pay the bills but sometimes they don't. I'm used to it though.
At school I walk the halls quietly and I make as little contact with everyone else as much as I can. But they still push me around and call me names, but once again, I'm used to it.
I rarely eat at all. I just sit at an almost empty table that has 2 other girls on the other side. I sit there and write or read. At lunch, no one cares to talk to me at all. Yeah it's better but I do miss someone to talk to.
After school I just walk home, sometimes to the local park. I write there too.

The next day at school I open my locker and a note flys out and falls to the floor.
I pick it up and examine it. On the the front it has my name written beautifully in cursive, Jess. No one really called me that except my parents and my childhood friends. Weird I thought.

I decided to read the note after school. I rather cry when I'm not around everyone at school. I know this can't be a good thing anyways.
I went off to my classes and I just focused on my book until I got called on. "Jessica, will you answer the question on the board?" I look around to see all the eyes were on me. I say with a straight face, "no." And I go back to my book. "Excuse me, Jessica, you'll have to spend this afternoon with me in detention." I roll my eyes and I continued with my day.
I walked over to the class where detention was being held. There was a few other people here. They were just messing around, throwing things across the room and yelling at the young substitute I'm guessing. Poor lady.
I sit down and I remember about the note. As I open the creamed colored envelope the substitute takes it up. She nods at me in disapproval and I just shrug it off. How can this get even worse.
Oh hey, I've never seen you before. My name is Ethan. Nice to meet you."
