I lived next door to the Heffley's almost my entire life, my parents have been friends with the Heffley's for almost 30 years now. Our families have dinner together almost every Friday. As I sat in my room I heard my mom yell, "(Y/N), get ready! We're going over to the Heffley's in 10 minutes!" I decided to get dressed in my leggings and fitness crop top. I grab my jean jacket off my vanity chair and put it on. Looking into the mirror of my vanity I shrug, and pull on my socks and gym shoes.

I picked my brush off of the table and comb through my hair, then I pull my hair into a loose bun. I smile at the mirror and decided I wasn't wooing anyone so might as well not wear makeup. Looking over I saw the Heffley's son, Rodrick swinging his drumsticks around, probably practicing a new song from Loded Diper. He's always been rude and full of himself, even since kindergarten. Rodrick stole my juicebox everyday for the whole year. But he's still cute. I turn the light off in my room and rush down the stairs to the front door. At the bottom of the stairs was my parents putting on their shoes, and my dog jumping on them. "Stop Coward! Ready? Let's get going." Our long journey to the Heffley's front door took 5 whole seconds. I'm tired. My mother knocked at the door 3 times, and in the middle of the 4th knock, Susan opened the door. She was holding Manny in her arms as he rested on her hip. "Hello, how have you been? Come in," Susan asked guiding my parents in, I look at Greg sticking my tongue out, he laughed. "Bubby!" Manny said looking at Greg, showing him something he made out of PlayDoh. I walk in the kitchen look around, it looks the same like every other Friday. I walk into the living room, to find Greg. "Hey (Y/N)," Greg, finally saying something, and smiling his awkward little smile. "Hey, Greg Heffley." I say impersonating Fregley. Greg squints, cringing slightly. "Ew, you sound like Fregley." "You got it right, Greg Heffley. Wanna have a tickle fight?" "You're too good at that!" Greg says laughing. "Thank you, Greg Heffley!" I laugh a little before continuing, "I see Fregley every day when I walk my dog it seems like!" I say chuckling. "Dinner will be in about 6 minutes, okay Greg?" Susan says, as she pokes her head into the living room. "Okay mom." Greg smiles fakely. I hear her head back into the kitchen, then she continues to talk to my parents. "So, how are you Greg? We haven't talked in 1 or 2 weeks." "Uh, I've been okay, Rodric-" Rodrick stomps in the living room, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ABOUT ME YOU LITTL- Oh, hi (Y/N), I didn't know you were here." He stumbles onto the wall, trying to act cool. "I was gonna say you little angel." He ruffles Greg's hair. I look at Greg, Greg is shaking his head, unimpressed. I cover my mouth trying not to burst out laughing. Rodrick pushes Greg over so he can sit next to me. "Hey!" Greg says. Rowley Bursts through the front door, " ZOO WEE MAMA!" Rowley looks around, then heads into the living room. "Hey Greg, why are you sitting on the floor? Is it comfortable down there?" Greg starts "I, uh, R-" Susan comes in, "It's dinner time." We all head into the kitchen. "Come on now sit down." Susan said motioning for all of us to sit down. I picked a random seat away from the adults. Rodrick sat to the right of me and Greg sat to the left. Rowley sat across from us. Susan put the plates down in front of us. Spaghetti. We all didn't talk much until Rodrick elbowed my arm. I looked towards Rodrick, he smirked and nodded his head toward Rowley. I looked across at Rowley, Rowley had almost finished and had pasta sauce all over his mouth. I looked at Rodrick again and chuckled. Rodrick smiled brighter and went back to eating, as did I. "Ahem-" Susan finally started to talk, "So, we are going to water park this weekend any chance you would like to come?" My parents look sorry, "Uh, actually we were going to a business trip, sorry. (Y/N) needs to watch our dog Coward, and the house." My mother said kindly, while keeping a smile on her face. "Oh, that's fine! Don't worry about it!" After dinner my parents were cleaning up and talking to Susan and Frank. Rodrick grabs my hand and runs upstairs with me following behind. Greg stays in the living room talking to Rowley. Rodrick began to talk as he sat on his bed. "Do you want to come to a party I'm throwing tomorrow?" He said it with a suggestive smile. " Yeah, sure, sounds good!" There's an awkward silence for too many seconds. "(Y/N) COME DOWN HERE, WE'RE LEAVING NOW!" My mom yells. I quickly shuffle down the stairs and see Greg mouthing What the HECK? I turn to Greg when I get to the bottom of the staircase, "So, is Rodrick gonna let you be here for the-" In the midst of my sentence Rodrick says "Ahem, I think you should leave now." Rodrick glared at me, as I started to leave I said "Bye now, Greg Heffley." Greg laughed, then asked " Do you wanna come over and play Twisted Wizard 2 with me and Rowley, tomorrow?" "Okay," I walked out of the Heffley's House and continued out towards my house, when I got home I ran up the stairs. I took off my jean jacket and sat on my bed. I look out the window into Rodrick's room. He was air drumming, like always. He looked up at me and stands up walking toward the window. Once he gets to his window and opens it swiftly. He sticks his head out and mouths open your window! Standing up I go to my window, and open it cautiously. "What do you need, Rodrick?" I ask, waiting for a reply. "I just wanted to say goodnight." He said closing his window. "Goodnight," I closed my window and went to sleep.
