INFLUENCE OF MEDIA ON ISLAM
My name is Arogundade Abdul Roheem, A rep from Obafemi Awolowo University International School.
I want to to talk about the negative effect of media on islam.
The main points I want to focus on are:
Sometimes passes wrong information to non belivers
It brings corruption to the hearth of believer
It makes us devoted not rem our times of prayer
I want to talk on the first point"some times passes wrong information through our tv, cellphone3s and so on".
As we all know the situation of terrorism who before killing any one recite a v erse of the quran, and after killing they say "Allahu Akbar"
This is very wrong in Islam because Allah said in the holy quran,"Q5 v32,Allah said"min ajli za li ka ka tab na ala ba yi israoillah annah hum man qotal naf sa bi bi ghaai ri naf siiiin, ao sa fal ad shiii........"he said, "Because of that, We ordained for the people of Israel that if anyone killed a person not i8n retaliation of murder, or to spread mischief in the land_ it would be as if he killed all mankind". I hope this verse is clear, "in the verse Allah said that if not for retaliation of murder, it would be like you killed the whole mankind, Allahu Akbar
I want to go to the second point," It may bring corruption to the pure hearth of believers". One may not necessarily go to pornography sites before finding bad pictures and images, but when searching for something, it may just show in the sites, Shaitaan will then have his chance to draw a believers attention to the bad thing, Only a weak Muslim will be tempted of such and no man is above temptation but over coming the temptation is the great problem.
Lastly , "we become devoted not remembering our time of prayer".
When we are chatting or browsing, we find it difficult to stand up and perform any religious act, we should reduce the time we handle the materials and spend more time asking for the mercy of Allah, May Allah Make It Easy.
