You know, I never asked for this. I never asked to be put into a testing lab. I never asked to be one of the last fertile women on the Planet. But guess what. Things don't always go as plan.
Surprise, Surprise. The world is cruel. Especially the world at this time. After everything that has happened all through out history, this is what broke humanity. All these disasters. All these things, that happened. All this time we thought the human race was sane, but put under pressure, we are crazy.
When it all started, they locked up all the women and girls in laboratories. They needed to make sure we - the human race - could be repopulated. But I bet you can guess what happened to the women who couldn't have babies? All women died.
When I say they, I mean the U.S army. You know, the people who were supposed to serve and protect. More like backstab and kill.
I'm one of the so called lucky few women who could carry a child. If you thought that being killed because you couldn't carry was the worst part, you were wrong. The worst part was if you were able to carry.
Every month, scientist would inject you with a needle in the stomach. You are probably thinking 'That's not how we reproduce! What happened to sex?' Ha! Ever since it happened, most of the men that were able to, went into the army. So all the men that weren't able to, were either to young, or to old. Mostly just to old.
And if after a year of injections, you didn't get pregnant, you would be hung. Yah hung. Such a Medieval way of doing things. They couldn't have come up with a quicker way of doing things I guess.
As you can imagine, since most of the men were gone, and all the women were either gone or dead, where did all the children go? They were put to work. Hard work. Since the rest of humanity was basically gone, children would do all things grown ups would normally do. Which included; Sewing, farming - which was hard to do since all the soil was bad - working at a water cleaner, and other stuff that was the top priority in regular times.
And once the kids got 'of age' the girls would go to the lab, and the boys would be sent to work in the army. They would put to work at three. They would work for seven years and be sent off to work some more. Yes, there were girls who - at ten - were pregnant. Sick, isn't it?
Well that's the world we live in. This sick, unforgiving world of torture and depression. I'd like to see you live in a laboratory all your life. I've been there, done that.
I was sent to a lab at 10. I was forced to watch my friends die.
Can I tell you something?
They called it a beautiful world.
