It all started on June 16th, 2009. I was three years old. It was the day of my Pre-K Graduation, and the night before I could hardly get to sleep.

At about 2:30 AM, my mom came into my room and woke me up. I asked if it was time for the graduation. She said, "No, honey, daddy's in the hospital."

I asked, "Why?"

She said, "Daddy had a heart attack."

I didn't realize the seriousness of it then. Little did I know, it would change my life forever.

My mom helped me get dressed, and she drove us to the hospital. We walked inside and were greeted my the beeping of monitors, coughing, and crying of the loved ones whose family had just passed.

I held a coloring book, crayons, and a picture that I'd colored for my dad.

We went up a few floors and found my dad's room. He was awake, looking weak. He turned to us, and teared up when he saw me in my pretty dress.

I gave him the picture that I colored for him, and he smiled.

At that moment, the doctor arrived and asked my mom to come with him. She left me with my dad.

My dad told me how proud of me that he was, and that he loved me. For the rest of the time my mom was gone, we sat in silence.

My mom came back, and we stayed with my dad for a few hours longer.

When is was time to go to the graduation, I waved my dad goodbye.

We got to the small school, and I was greeted by my friend, Nicole.

As my class got onto the stage, I searched the crowd for my mom and dad. All I found was my mom and her close friend, Charline.

We sang songs and did dances, but I wasn't really feeling it.

After it was done, we were free to go to our guardians. Char and my mom congratulated me, and I asked where my dad was. Mom said he was still in the hospital.

Later in life, I was told that my dad shouldn't have lived, and that he had heart disease.

Hey. With this book, I'm only going off memory. In the next chapter, I'll write another event in my life.
