There once were two immortals, a god and a goddess. One was the God of the Land, nurturing green life with gentle song and gentle touch. The other was the Goddess of the Sky. She whistled and ran around her beautiful sky, keeping the wind moving. They were only two of the three being created by the Goddess of Life, and the God of Death. They were not siblings, but they coexisted.
One fateful day, a low breeze swept through the sacred forest of the Land God, which carried The Sky Goddess. The Land God was awestruck by her beauty and grace. Proclaiming that he had never seen such a beauty. He ran to catch her, but she had been swept back into the sky.
Still in awe, he watched her day after day, never doing more than this for three years. But this time, he had built up a tail mountain, which reached up into the sky. He stood atop his mountain and cried out to the wind,
"Wind! Breath of her breath, and scent of her scent! Please carry my love to me!"
The wind, having been moved by the God's words, carried the Goddess to him as quickly as they could manage. The Goddess was very confused, having no explanation for her Winds' behavior. They set her down on the mountain's peak and she laid eyes upon the God for the first time.
The two immortals met everyday since then. When the sun was highest and she swept up to the mountain, they would know happiness once again.
But soon, the Land God became impatient and wanted to keep her with him. So one day, the God planted a trap for the goddess atop their mountain meeting place. He planted bright blue flowers all around the flat peak. So when the unknowing Goddess arrived, she was greeted by the most radiant, beautiful, delicious-smelling flowers she had ever seen. As she kneeled down to smell the flowers, the Land God entrapped her wrists and her legs with strong vines and smiled.
He chuckled and smiled at the goddess.
"Now you are mine, and mine alone."
