"I dare you to go into the woods for five minutes!" Jamie says excitedly. I look back at the woods a shiver running down my spine.
"The woods? You sure?" I ask while biting my thumb nail, a habit I've never been able to stop when nervous. I look at my two best friends. Jamie with her long black hair and dark brown eyes is looking at me with excitement while Cole with his light brown hair and green eyes is giving me a worried look.
"Not the woods Jamie. We all know there are some weird things going on in there." Cole says.
Jamie gives Cole a slap on the arm "Oh stop being a wuss Cole. It's not like you are the one going into the woods."
I get up from my chair on the deck and start heading towards the woods. "Two minutes!" I yell towards Jamie.
I get the edge of the woods and look back at my two best friends. Cole gives me a reassuring smile and I walk into the darkness. Taking out my phone I turn on the flashlight and continue heading deeper into the woods.
After a minute has passed I stop and look around me. Holding my phone up, I see my name carved on a tree.
That can't be right. Why would my name be carved on a tree. I take a step back before turning around and rushing out of the woods.
