Lila's P.O.V....

               Right now my dad is standing in front of me on the boat docks yelling at me on how to fix the boat or should I say "Floating red raft with sides" cause apparently he's too busy at his work today to care if I had plans or even knew how to fix a boat engine.                                                                            He's always busy .Even when he is at home all he does is yell at me saying that my dreams are never going to happen.He always puts his needs before my Mom's and mine .I don't think I ask for too much when I say I just want to do something for myself once in a blue moon without being called lazy by my own Dad .I think he wishes I was a boy sometimes just cause whenever we argue,he always refers to my older brother Micheal saying "well Micheal could fix it in two seconds" no matter what topic  we're discussing.                                                                                                                                           My Dad breaks me out of my thoughts when he said "Lila,if this boat engine is not fixed in an hour,your floating out to sea!" he said with his arms flailing at me as he pushed me onto the raft then stomped off the dock enraged and me in tears "How am I going to fix the boat?Dad never even taught me how to fix stuff like this, he always left it up to Micheal to fix anything"I said as I opened up the engine lid on the bottom of the inside of the boat with tears streaming down my face.                                                                                                                                                                                       15 minutes later.....

        I still can't get this engine to work "Hey Lila,what are you doing.Disturbing a poor boat from  " said a voice from a girl I hate with a passion .I turn around and smile and say "Hey Audrey.Nothing much,just trying to fix something that isn't mine to fix.It's my Dad's and he is forcing me to fix it" I said and I stood up in the boat "aww ,Is poor little Lila upset cause she's unpopular " "I feel bad for your dog cause he bites less than you do," I said "Your just Jelous cause we're way more popular than you" said Shelby,Audrey's minion "Shelby,it hurts me to see someone as smart at you support a Jerk Like  Audrey" which made Audrey get the strangest smirk on her face than say "oh yeah I guess I am a Jerk; and I'll prove it " she said before her and Shelby pushed the boat towards the middle of the ocean which made me fall back words on my back and than Shelby and Audrey walking away laughing about what they just did to me.                         What am I gonna do?My Dad will be mad at me if I jump out of the boat and leave it.I guess my only option is to yell for help and hope I'll be heard by someone who can help.                                          15 minutes later......                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Unknown Person  P.O.V......                                                                           

             We were walking past the docks after dance Practice  when suddenly I heard a girl screaming for help from a little boat that was drifting towards Sea.My other four friends look at me and One of them says "Grant ,she sounds like she's in trouble,we should at least try to help her"said Matt as he walks towards the in ground wall that leads right to the sea and shouts out "Hey,is there any way we can help you?" Matt shouts out with his hands cupped around his mouth  to make his voice louder.The four of us ran beside him to show that we would help too .The girl spoke and said "Yeah,I really need help fixing the  engine and I don't know how" .I looked over at Grant,smiled,than said "Oh well Grant and the rest of us could help you fix it"which made her smile and say "Thank you so much,I really appreciate it"she said before I looked at the others than said "brace yourself and stand back cause we're about to jump into the boat" "What! It's about five and a half feet away jump at best how are you gonna-" We cut her off by jumping into the boat which made her lightly scream as someone landed on her.                           The five strangers Jump in the boat and one of them landed on me.I looked up and saw brown eyes staring into my Hazel ones .He got off of me than said "sorry if we scared you.I'm Grant,Grant Knoche,and you are?" he said with his hand out ready for me to shake it "Lila,Lila Gilbert,nice to meet you.So I've met Grant but I haven't met the rest of you".Grant looked at me than back at the others and said "Lila,meet Matt,Sela,and Ashlynn" pointing to each one of his friends as he said there names as they waved and smiled at me ,"So Lila,how did you get caught this far away from the boat dock?" Ashlynn asked as she scooted closer to sit next to me so we could talk,so did Sela ," Well about 30 minutes ago my Dad shouted at me to fix the boat.Fifteen minutes later a couple of the popular girls at my school got into an argument with me and so as revenge they pushed me towards the middle of the Sea.It didn't go to far at first but than the wind picked up and it pushed me a little bit more towards the edge of the shore and that's where you guys came in. So yeah,that's basically how we got here ".                                                  I looked over at Matt and Grant than said "so how's the boat coming?" they both looked up than Matt said "It's all finished"straightening his glasses and putting the tools back in my dads tool box than closing the lid "Thank you guys so much for fixing the boat" I said as I scooted over to the engine controls and stuck the key in the ignition.The boat roared .I smiled,than said "Thanks again for fixing the boat .If your not doing anything this afternoon we could hang out on my Dads bout and cruise the ocean" I offered "Sounds good to me" said Sela "sounds good to me too"said Ashlynn "us too" said Matt .                                                                                                                                         I put the key back in the ignition than Grant said "So how far have you been away from the shore line before?" "not too far.Normally no more than five miles before my dad stops the boat and does some fishing"I said as I straightened my top then grabbed onto the steering wheel "Well,would it be okay if we went out further than 5 miles,like maybe to the middle of the ocean?" said Sela "sure,sounds fun. The gas tank is full and if  we run out I have my cellphone with me so I could call someone in an emergency" .
