"so, Matthew, you are now one of the most followed social media stars- a lot of girls are being in love with you and some told me via Twitter that they stopped cutting when they met you. How is that?" the interviewer pointed the mic at me.
"uh...I really don't know what to say." I found myself speechless. "this is a really big thing, you know? having people to stop self harming is a good thing. I really am grateful that there are these people in this world- and are watching right now who is now clean from self harming and has found a new reason to continue living life." I felt my throat getting dry as lump is starting to build inside at the same time.
The interviewer nodded and gave me a smile. "what's your reason behind this goal of yours? I stalked you awhile ago on Twitter and saw that you are spreading awareness about self harm and on every tweet, you inspire and tell people to stop. Have you experienced this before? is there a real story behind this?" with that, I felt like anytime I'm going to lose it. I focused on my breathing and I found myself clutching on the arm rest.
The interview got stopped and my friends- Carter and Nash helped me get up. "What happened?" I hear one of them say and the next thing I know, I was in my hotel room- crying it all out.
