"He's no longer in the band."

The words escaping the brunet male's lips caused the female to look up at him in question. Her long brown hair tied in a bun. Louise Peters, known as the girlfriend of the Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd. First seen somewhat as a groupie before becoming the love interest of the band's lead guitarist. "What do you mean? Syd isn't in the band anymore?"
"No... We decided a few days ago it was best to... Let him go."

None of this made sense to the female. Just a few nights ago Syd was talking about a new album, new lyrics, new everything. He sounded as if he was ready to make a new album, but it looked as if Richard 'Rick' Wright was telling her different. Mentally she thanked god for the fact Syd wasn't home as his roommate and herself talked about this. She wasn't sure how Syd would even react to them two being alone in a room together. "Why let him go? He seemed so excited to write a new album and-"
"Louise... He hasn't been playing. We've hired another guitarist. He hardly comes into the studio and when he does we have no idea what he is doing."

This was all so new to Louise. Yeah, she wasn't the girlfriend who sat in the recording studio while the boys played, knowing from time to time that annoyed everyone, including her curly haired boyfriend so decided it was best to keep away.
"He... That can't be right." She shook her head in disbelief. Her Syd? The curly haired guy who always had a light in his eyes. The brunette could admit though that light had faded, that he was slowly becoming a different person. Maybe Rick was right? She let out a deep sigh, running her fingers through her brown hair.

"So... If Syd is being kicked out, what about this?"
"About what?"
"The fact you two live together. He'll notice sooner or later you're running off." That did cause a pause. An awkward silence to enter the room.
"Well... I guess I'll have to lie. I don't want him to be kicked, but what can we do?"
"I don't know, but I think the sooner you tell him will be better then him working it out later."

That was the one thing the pair of friends could agree on. Not what was actually going on with the curly haired piper. Little did Louise know her life was going to change very much from the end of Syd Barrett being the leader of Pink Floyd.
