Chapter 14. Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting

Start from the beginning

“I’m not peaking” I assured him “Though you’ll have to help me down any stairs and such”

“No stairs” he laughed “Just grass”

I frowned as he led me across a large stretch of land, holding onto my hand the entire time. Niall left me alone for 2 minutes, saying he needed to “speak to someone important” before returning by taking my hands and making me jump.

“Don’t scare me like that” I muttered. I expected a laugh but didn’t get one.

“Niall?”

There was no reply and I was being dragged forward. I frowned and squeezed my hand around mine. That wasn’t Niall’s hand.

I dug my heels into the ground and stopped “I’m not moving”

There was a tug

“I’m not moving until you say something”

“Riley” laughed Niall’s voice ahead of me, away from the figure holding my hand “It’s just Paul, don’t worry”

I sighed “Paul you freaking scared me”

I allowed myself to be dragged towards Niall’s laugh and then Paul was gone

“Hello?” I asked

“God, you’re jumpy when you can’t see aren’t you” giggled Niall next to me

“I’m use to being in control; Draco doesn’t exactly run our house”

The tie was taken away from my eyes and I gasped at the sight. Niall had set up a 2 seater table under a large oak tree a fair while away from a large white restaurant, alive and kicking in the back ground

“You set this up?” I asked looking over the clean white sheet over the table, black iron chairs and a large white candle blazing in the center

“Well the restaurant staff set it up and Louise put in the order, I was just told where to go and what to say” he smiled, taking me hand gently “Do you like it?”

“It’s amazing” I smiled

He grinned and pulled out my chair for me to sit at, then sitting down in front of me and taking my hand again

“I’ve never had a date like this” I laughed, fingering the white cloth on the table

“Never?”

I shook my head “Nope”

“Where did Pat take you for your first date?”

“Do you really want to talk about my ex when I’m on a date with you”

“He’s more than your ex, he’s Draco’s dad and a part of your life, I want to know”

I smiled at him “Pat took me to the local café; it was a spur of the moment thing”

“How so?”

“We were with a group of friends, I was bored he asked me if I wanted to get out of there and I said yes”

“Interesting”

I blushed “What about your first date?”

He bit his lip “Dinner and a movie”

“Classic”

He shrugged “It was alright”

I smiled “Just alright?”

He laughed “I’m not that smooth around girls, I went to an all-boy’s school”

“You’re pretty smooth around me”
