I Leave

I was staring down at Camp Half Blood on Half Blood Hill watching as the sun rose on the horizon on the lake. The camp was going to wake up soon. What would they do when they realized I was gone? Rejoice? I'm leaving and I'm not even sure where I'm going but it's somewhere where no one would look, if anyone ever did. I doubt they would anyways. They want to get rid of me. I considered a ton of different places but then I decided I would just go to a different country. I picked England. It's far away from everyone here and even if they did track me to the country, they'd have to find me.

I walked down Half Blood Hill thinking about all the good times I'd had here. I used to love this place. It had been a second home to me. All my friends, or at least my used to be friends, were here and now it's all gone. I walked out of the border and started walking to the docks where I was taking a boat to Europe then I was driving the rest of the way to England. I wasn't in a rush to be anywhere. But then a person showed up in front of me cloaked in darkness, but his face was visible. He was handsome and eyes that looked like the cosmos, infinite and hard to look away from. He introduced himself.

"I'm Chaos and I've come to see if you would lead my army. You've been cast out by the ones you used to know, and rejected by your family. I can give you a second chance. A chance to be immortal and to rule. I'm making an army and I'd like you to lead it Perceus. You're intelligent, loyal, trustworthy, and you've won many a fight. I'd be honored to have you as my right hand man." I pondered the thought. It was tempting and I would still get to fight and be a hero and I would be leading an army and on top of that, I would be immortal and away from here. I had my answer, and it was pretty obvious.

"Yes. I will lead your army but on one condition." Percy stated. Chaos nodded,

"And what would that be Perseus Jackson?" Percy turned and looked him dead in the eyes, with all seriousness.

"That the army can have anyone and everyone I want and no one I don't." His lip twitched just thinking about having the people who hated him in his army. No. He stopped himself before he got too angry.

"I can make that happen, but you must join forever. You will live forever, and forever you will serve. Keep in mind how long that is before making your choice." Chaos said with a smile.

"I'll join." Percy agreed immediately. He was ready to mean something again, to be more than just a punching bag for insults.

"Welcome to the Army Perseus. I believe you'll enjoy your stay."

"Call me Percy." We talked for a minute and I agreed that I would fake my death. I pulled out Riptide and threw it on the ground, looking at it thinking about all we'd been through, everything that had happened to me and I felt numb. Chaos pulled out a bag of golden ichor from a monster and poured it over the blade and we were gone. I was replaced on earth with an illusion of me, one that had died by a surprise monster attack.

He transported me to his realm where the pen couldn't find me. I was the only one there, besides Chaos of course, but there were very many empty rooms.

"Who shall your army contain and they will appear and they can choose a room. They don't even have to be alive. I can bring anyone. Resurrecting the dead is no problem to me." I already had the perfect people in mind considering that.

"Luke Son of Hermes

Silena Daughter of Aphrodite

Charles Son of Hephestus

Bianca Daughter of Hades

All the other CHB campers that died in the war against Kronos along with Zoë Nightshade."

"You've chosen well Percy, they're good people and good fighters." he said. He snapped his fingers and they all appeared. I explained to them where they were and who everyone was. Luckily the only people they didn't really know were Chaos and Zoe. They all agreed to be in the army. They too wanted a second chance.

Once I was done we had a short meeting about who was who getting nicknames and code names and rankings. I was Commander Omega but I preferred my nicknames, Omega or Hurricane. I made Luke second in command and he said since I was Omega he should be called Alpha. I made Zoë third in command and she insisted on being called Nightslayer. I made Charles fourth in command and he insisted on being called Festus after the I told him about the dragon Leo built and Silena was fifth in command and wanted to be called Beauty.

We were all granted immortality and had to take a dip in the river Chaos which made us invincible and granted us certain powers from all the gods. I was shocked as it all happened. I had no idea there was something, or someone, with this kind of power. I could feel the power settling in as we all went and picked a room and it was decorated to our liking. Mine was huge with an X-Box and all my favorite games and a never ending food/drink bar, and a 100-inch flat screen tv and a heated waterbed. I was gonna like it here. I was looking around and when I got to my bed to sit down I saw a cloak and a mask along with a note

"You must go unknown to all the enemies you face in every battle and occurrence in the mortal world or at either demigod camp. Considering you are all thought to be dead, we can't have word spreading about you all. Wear the cloaks and masks. I will give you the option to reveal yourself eventually but not for a long time, for I have a plan." ~Chaos

There was knock at my door I walked over and saw Luke standing there. On fire. Freaking out

"I don't know what's happening to me!!!!"

"That must be one of your new powers from the dip in the River Chaos." I stated with a smile then he calmed down and his fire went out.

"Thanks Omega. I was really freaked out for a second there. Have any of your powers kicked in yet?" He questioned.

"No not yet, at least not like that. DO you want to come in?"

"Sure. Don't mind if I do." He laughed.

We talked about everything that happened and worked out the finer detail of what happened and what was going to happen as we played on the X-Box. After a few hours we got tired and agreed that it was time to go to sleep. Luke went back to his room and I went to my bed. I inspected the cloak Chaos had given me. I still had sitting there. I put it on and threw the hood up and the hood covered half my face the only part you could still see was my mouth, but I could see through the material somehow. I put on the mask and inspected myself. I wished I had Riptide and all of a sudden two blades shot out of the sleeves into my hands I named one Riptide and the other Hurricane. Had to have some reason behind the nickname right?

I willed them away and I took the cloak off and hung it on the hanger next to my bed along with the mask and laughed as I lay in my new bed considering how fast my life had changed, but for the better. I was getting a second chance with people who actually cared about me.
