(Ten years later)

“Harry!” I said as I hugged my older brother as he walked through the door.

“Hey El.” He said hugging me again.

“How was the meeting?” I asked him as I sat down on my bed and he sat next to me.

You see, my brother is going to be the next king, and since he’s taking over for Daddy, he has to go to a meeting with all the other element princes. All of them are going to be the next kings of their kingdom, so they have to have a meeting once a month.

“It was fine, Louis and I got in a fight again, but that’s really it.” He said sitting down next to me.

I sighed. Louis was the Ice Prince that Harry always hated. He always told me that the fire kingdom and the ice kingdom hated each other. I never knew why though. Were they bad people? I was never allowed to leave the kingdom grounds, so I never met any of the other princes or princesses. Harry always told me about them though. Liam was the Air Prince, Zayn was the Water Prince, Niall was the Earth Prince, and Perrie and Kai were brother and sister. Perrie was the Light Princess and Kai was the Dark Prince. Their kingdom was literally split down the middle and was made into two different kingdoms. Perrie was in charge of Day and Kai was in charge of the night. Harry always said that Liam was super nice and had the biggest heart, Zayn was kind of laid back, and Niall was carefree and didn’t have a concern in the world. He just lived life to have fun. Perrie was the brightest person you could ever meet, she was always excited, and super sweet. He said Kai was… Odd. He was moody all the time and really quiet.  Louis… Well Harry never really talked about Louis besides saying that he hated him.

“Harry, I still don’t see what’s so wrong with him? Is Louis just a bad person?” I asked.

Harry sighed. “Eleanor.” He placed his hand on my arm and smirked at me. “Angel, don’t worry about it.”

I sighed. “Ok.” I smiled at Harry. He had a very troubling look in his eye. “What’s wrong Haz?”

“El… Unfortunately I have to go with Dad for a little while…”

My smile went to frown. “For how long?” I asked the sadness clear in my voice.

            “Six months.” He said.

“SIX MONTHS!” I shouted standing up.

Harry quickly stood up and placed his hands on either side of my arms.  “El, it’s going to be over before you know it. I promise.”

I felt a tear go down my cheek. “But… Harry you’re my only friend in the world and…” I trailed off. I didn’t want him to leave me here all by myself.

Harry pulled me into a hug. “I know… But it’s only for six months.”

I sighed. “When do you leave?” I said into his chest.

            “Tomorrow.”

I sighed again. I had to try to be happy for him. I know him, if he sees me totally crushed; he won’t leave and go do what he has to. I pulled away from him and smile. “Ok. I’ll go help you pack.” I said.

            He nodded. “Ok.”

Louis’ POV:

“Dad, do you have to go?” I asked him as He packed.

He sighed. “Yes, unfortunately I do.”

“Why can’t I go with you? At the meeting today we were talking about it and Harry’s going with his dad. I know we hate them and all, but it’s still not fair.” I said sitting on his bed.

Dad gave out a sigh. “Yes, but he still has a mother to watch over the kingdom for him… You don’t.” I knew my father was trying to hold back tears of the thought of Mum’s death. He hated crying in front of people. My vision got a little blurry from the tears that were trying to break through. “I need you to watch over the kingdom for me.” He finally said. My tears escaped my eyes and were pouring down my cheeks now. I missed Mum. “Louis, stop crying son. Be strong and take care of everything around here for me.” My father’s gentle words said as he grabbed behind my neck and kissed my forehead.

“It’s only for six months… You can last that long, can’t you?” He asked me.

I nodded. “Yes sir.” I said wiping my wet cheeks.

He nodded. “That’s my boy, now why don’t you help me finish packing.”

            I nodded. “Yes sir.”

Eleanor’s POV:

“I wish I could go with you.” I told Harry as I hugged him goodbye. The sun was just rising up, and the ship was ready to leave.

“I wish you could too… But you can’t. We need you safe.” He said into my hair as he hugged me tight.

            “I know…”

“Harry, we have to go.” Daddy said placing his hand on Harry’s shoulder.

Harry and I pulled away from each other. “Yes sir.” He said.

I gave Daddy a big hug. “Don’t miss me too much.” I said.

“We’ll try sweetheart, but it’s going to be hard.” Daddy said.

Harry and Daddy started walking up the ramp on the ship. “Goodbye! I love you!” I said as the ship sailed off.

Author’s POV:

As Louis and Eleanor watched their loved ones sail away on a ship, they were left at their kingdom, feeling completely alone.
