The plague that blanketed the world years ago, 10 to be exact, was Sangriapasiasis or most commonly known as the Sangria Death. It recieved its name because people bled out a sangria color versus the normal crimson. This disease did more than just cause the blood to discolor. Once it invaded the host, things started like a normal cold, but soon the simple headaches and sore throats turned for the worse. People bled from various areas, even the pores of their skin. Then the victims would go mad. The disease ate at their brains. Others recieved mutations or disortions on their body along side the madness.
People evacuated onto the spaceships at various docking sations. By the time this occurred, most of the human population was gone. Billions of people died. Some were strong enough to survive with the disease, but only as mutants who had no control of their bodies. The survivors went into to space, not knowing if they'd ever return. The government stated that once there was no life forms for the virus to target, it would die off and thats when they'd return. Then again, the government knew nothing the true terror of it all.
