Chapter 2: Once A Jerk Always A Jerk

"Speaking of Jerks." Ashley whispered as we started up the stairs.

Where Lash had been standing at the top and staring at me the whole time, with that smile that gets me everytime. No I will not fall for it ever again!

"Hey Mary." Lash said as we got a few steps away from him.

I ignored his warm welcome and kept walking knowing that that warm welcome was said with a cold heart. I had to get inside and away from him before I fell for him again. As I passed by him about to head inside I felt an arm wrap around my waist. I was then turned around by that arm to see Lash infront of me holding me close.

"Look Mary I am so sorry about everything. Please can you come back to me, I'll change my ways...Please...I miss you." he said to me with thoose big beautiful brown eyes.

"Lash I'm sorry but I'm not gonna take you back...ever. I gave you a choice. Bullying and being a jerk or not bullying and me....You made your choice...Being a jerk and bully so no I'm not taking you back." I said pushing on his chest trying to break free of his grib.

"Mary Please!" He said pulling my waist tighter and me closer.

Next thing I knew I had his soft lips on mine. I have to admit I did miss his kiss so much, and how he held my waist like this. Wait no I can't do this! I can't give in. If I do give in my un fixed heart will be broken some more! I cought myself before I started to kiss him back, so I pushed on his harder this time and broke free from his grib.

"Lash stop! We are over ok! So please stop....just leave me alone." I said turning towards the doors and storming to them.

I could hear him say my name but I ignored it and headed inside. Once I got inside I was stopped by a friend of ours named Emily. Ashley didn't even make it all the way inside; she was holding the door open and I could hear confused Freshmen screaming or something but I just ignored it.

"Hey Star!....Um if you don't mind me asking are You and Lash back together?...I mean I saw you guys kissing and all so I was just wondering." Emily asked pointing to Lash and Speed who were talking to a group of Freshys.

"No we are not back together...he wants to...But I said no because he is stil a jerk and I don't wont to go through any more pain because of him." I said looking back outside listening in to the conversation between the Freshys and Them. Everyone could him them talking about "A New Student Fee".

"See!...He is still a jerk. There is no "New Student Fee" he just wants their money. Ugh I hate him." I said turning and walking past Emily.

"Sorry Star!" I heard her yell.

I just ignored it and rushed to my locker. As I started to open it to get my books out Amy spoke up.

"Star is everything ok?...I mean are you going to be ok?" she asked.

"What do you think?....I mean that is such a stupid question! How can she be ok? Her ex kisses her, saying he wants her back and will change his ways of being a bully for her then turns right around and bullys people! Which is the main reason why they broke up in the first place! So again how can she be ok?" Ashley said a little bit yelling at her sister.

Yet according her mine Ashley was wondering the same thing as Amy. If I was ok after everything that happened. The truth was "no not really I'm not ok" but I wasn't going to tell them that.

"Guys I'm fine. Ok! Now let's just go to class before we're late...Don't say anything Ashley. I know you want to ask and yes I'm sure that I am fine and not lying....Don't forget that I'm a mind reader guys you can't think of calling me lier and expect me not to say something about it!" I said slamming my locker shut.

We started to walk towards our class then turned a corrner to find Speed and Lash shoving some kid into a locker. This kid I knew was not a freshman.

"Um hum" I said almost coughing.

They stopped shoving the kid in the locker and turned around.

"Really Lash!?....You sure are changing huh?....Let the poor kid go." I said crossing my arms with my fist balled up. Lash was about to speak but I read his mind and decided to cut him off.

"Don't try to use "he's a freshman" excuse! 1. He's not a freshman and 2. Even if they are a freshman that doesn't give you the right to bully them!" I said glaring at him until he let go of the kid.

"Thank you." The boy told me.

"Yeah whatever. Just go!" I said pointing behind me for the kid to run that way...and he did.

I turned back to Lash who was about to say something but I didn't want to hear any more excuses or anything so again I cut him off.

"Don't start Lash! I don't want to hear any more excuses or lies from you!" I said trying to storm past him but he grabbed my wrist.

"Mary please wait! Don't go...let me explain." Lash begged pulling me infront of him.

"Lash I'm done with it...I'm done with you! I don't want to hear any excuses, explanation, lies or anything from you!....Now please can you let me go before I'm late to class." I said looking into sad eyes that I never seen him with before.

Lash stood there for a moment then shook his head and let me go. I didn't say anything, just headed to my class. I had Mad Science Study as my 1st class with Amy, after that I have lunch then Stealth Practice and "Heros of Today!". However my last class I have with Lash. Even though he sits on the other side of the room it doesn't matter with the power he has.
