Hello all my readers, my story is currently going to go through some editing so please bare with me.

I watched as blood dripped off of my sword and onto the green grass beside my feet. No emotion coursed through my body as I watched the life drain out of a man, whom I thought was a close friend. His lifeless eyes stared back at me. I looked over at the other men that have gathered around me, forming a circle.
"This will not solve anything." I stated blankly, as one of my brethren took a step forward.
I kept a close eye on him; his dragon followed close behind him. I balanced my sword out in my hand, getting ready for the fight that was about to happen. Striker, my dragon, lunged out just in time. He roared in agony as he was struck from behind, the other dragon's jaws wrapped around his left wing. I leap over his back and struck the dragon in the temple with the blade of my sword, piercing his skull.
Smoke curled around Striker's mouth and heat crept up his sides. I threw up my hands just in time to block my eyes from the scorching flames. They seemed to wrap around everything that was in their way. Screams of pain could be heard for miles. Unnoticed a survivor went underneath Striker thrusting his blade deep into his side. Striker heaved out a dark liquid. It burned the ground, going deeper and deeper until you could see no more. I could feel him shaking underneath me, his energy was running low.
I looked up from the ground, glaring at the remaining survivor.
"How could you have done this to your own flesh and blood?" I asked gritting my teeth.
I got a cold stare back. "Why should you be the most powerful of us all?" he said.
I wrapped my hand tighter around my sword. I could feel Striker trying to regain just enough strength. I patted his neck in affection.
"We have come a long way ol' boy," I whispered," now let's finish this, so our children centuries from now won't end up in the same fate."
Striker held his head high, looked his enemy straight in the eye and lunged forward. We tumbled around. I was knocked from my saddle, but luckily wasn't injured. I quickly stood up just in time to block a blow from the retrieved sword.
"Quafius, stop this madness!" I screamed.
His expression was emotionless. He crept with his sword raised, pointed directly at me. I swung my sword around my head and ran towards him. His parred the blow easily. Jab and dodge. Jab and dodge. We kept at it for what felt like forever. I could feel my body weakening. I was also running out of breath. Quafius swung again this time cutting me across the chest. I gritted my teeth against the pain. Suddenly I saw an emotion cross his face. Glee. With the last amount of strength I had, I swung my arm and sliced him across the throat.
There was an awful choking sound coming from Quafius. He stood for a bit with blood coming out of his throat, then he fell. I walked over slowly and stood over him.
"You think that this is the end," he choked out, blood creeping out of his mouth," my heirs will destroy yours. This I promise our quarrel is yet from being finished."
"No. This is just and end to you," I said raising my sword and decapitated him.
An agonizing bellow whipped across the land. I turned my head just to see a paw strike me. I was flung across the ground. I felt my spine crush. Quafius' dragon stood over me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Striker struggling to get up.
"It's OK old boy we did it," I said as I flung a dagger straight into Quafius' dragon's heart.
The dragon screamed in pain and fell to the ground next to his Rider. I heaved in a breath, trying my best at least. I could feel the life draining out of me. My vision was started to blur. Something warm pressed up against me, I could feel something rough brush my fingers. Striker. I raised my hand and placed it on his leg.
'We did it,' a voice said.
I smiled against the pain. It was the first time that I have ever heard his voice. It was actually lower pitched than I expected. If this was the end I would have it no other way. I was going to die right beside my dragon. My soul. My heart. My other half. My best friend. My hero.
'Our decedents will know of what we have done' Striker said as he took his last breath.
I felt a tear run down my cheek as I felt a part of me shatter. It didn't last long. Soon after I joined him, forever together.
