My name is Lucky-girl, my mom decided to name me this because according to her I am a very lucky and blessed person, but I myself feel as if that is just a misunderstanding on her part. Never was I lucky or blessed because from the age of six everything started to fall apart. You would think that, at that age a child is suppose to have fun, play around with her friends, and do everything that children do. Well not for me, I am a child that does not know what fun is because I am so use to being alone even with friends around. At the age of six I felt like I was eighteen because I had seen so much crap that it just blows my mind. I can remember when my mom first brought him home, that's when it all started. She said he was just a friend but friends are not suppose to kiss or sleep in the same room, well that's what my six year old self thought at that moment. I believed the friends line, thinking that she will go back to being with my father, well I fooled myself big time. That friend of hers starting coming around more and everyday they got close I felt as if I was losing my mother.

At first he was a great person, he told me he loved me only after four months of knowing me, he said that he would treat me like a father would treat his child and be there for me whenever I needed anything. Me being the child I am I believed him, which was the biggest mistake of my life because I regret it. Fast forward to three years later they are still together and my mother finally decided to tell me that he was gonna be my new father. At nine years old I was perfectly fine with that because he was helping me with my homework, buying me things, making sure I had everything I needed, and showing me that he actually wanted to be in my life. That was the good part of my life. However when I hit ten years old everything change. My mother and my so called stepdad were having an argument one day over her having guys as friends and when she decided that she had enough of him yelling at her she said something that I think made him angry to the point that he slapped her like a pimp would slapped his hoe.

"Anthony you have to relax because it was never that big of a deal all he did was tell me hi and you over here over reacting like I slept with him", my mother said as she sits down on the coach relaxing not taking him serious.

"Shut the hell up! how many times do I have to tell you not to interact with males, you are not allow to have male friends so why do you like to disrespect me by having one?"

"How am I disrespecting you when he is not considered my friend? Like I said before, he saw me on the street, thought I was beautiful and approach me to tell me," this is when he started beating on her because I guess he did not like the way she spoke to him.

"Shut the hell up when I am talking, when I say something you do it and don't question me", with every word he smacks her to get his point across.

This is when they started fighting because my mom would not sit there and just let him put his hands on her. This was the time she had the will power to fight back. While this is happening I come running out of the room to see what's going on while my aunt is just standing there looking at her sister get abused.

"What is going on auntie why are you watching my mom fight a man"

"What am I suppose to do stop them, if she wants to fight a man and stay with someone who abuse her let her it's none of my business"

"STOP IT! STOP HITTING MY MOM

"Lucky-girl stay out of grown folks business let them handle their problems"

"How can you just say that when this is your sister getting abused"

"Don't worry about it just mind your own business"

After a while he finally decided that he had enough of beating on my mother when she passed out so he takes his jacket and left  the house.
