The Boy Who Came Back To Life

Will is lying if he say that what happened to him early this morning was not bothering him, because to be honest; it does. So bad. He just coughed slugs, and not just one, but five of them. He became used to it after a couple of months, it started last Christmas, he was shocked, yes; but just like all things in life, you'd finally get accustomed to stuff especially if it happens every single time of the day. He wasn't afraid of those things that come out of his mouth, but the fact that Joyce and his brother will soon find out? That is scary. What would his mom gonna do? Will she call the chief? Is she going to bring him to the doctors? And be experimented with all those shiny, pointy syringes and medicines? No. He is not going to let that happen. Mike and the boys just told him who's that young short-haired girl was like while he was gone. She is this skinny pale girl, she has this somewhat shaved hair, Lucas said that they found her out on mirkwood on a freezing rainy night, he said that they are to look for him and was expectant to see him around where this town chief saw his bike the night before he was taken, y'know by that demogorgon. Dustin was all big-eyed and amazed with that girl, who Will recalls that Mike said El. El was her name, originally that person's name was 011. They said, she has this, uhh, mmm powers? She saved them, and him. They alternated on completing the whole story, Mike saw how that Eleven flipped a van, and how she threw Lucas across the junkyard, how she saved Mike from Troy and James from falling off a cliff and levitating him back on ground, how she broke his arm! How she killed people and bled them to death thru their eyes and nose gushing with so much blood! How... She killed that demogorgon and just, disappeared out of thin air. That was so much to take-in in just one sitting, Will's mouth was agape,
"Isn't she amazing Will?! She's done all that with her mind!" Dustin's smile didn't falter. He was talking and talking with so much enthusiasm! He blabbered and spits flew on Will's face, he couldn't cut them off.
"She liked eggos so much man, you just can't imagine how a girl can steal frozen eggos from the store without even bothering! And, and, the transmitter on the school?! She blew 'em up! She was channeling you! And I swear we heard you!" Lucas was as excited just as much, "That was the same day she wore Nancy's dress!" Dustin added.
"AND MIKE SAID SHE'S PRETTY!" Lucas and Dustin shouted in unison. They were giggling and messing around, Lucas was showing how Eleven walked out the room, Dustin was across from where he is, Lucas was doing this funny eye-batting and imaginary hair-tucking on his ear, "Dude she was like this!" Lucas walked towards Dustin slowly, "Mike?" He continued doing that eye-batting! Will was giggling ever so softly and was looking at them back and forth, his eyes were glassy, it was beautiful, the lights across the room illuminated and it dances in his eyes, it was mirroring the lamp and Will's long lashes bats every second. He's biting his pink lips out of laughter making them red,
"Wow, my El, you're so pretty will you marry me?" Dustin was now on his knee, he used this squeaky deep voice that Will guessed was Mike's. Lucas tiptoed like a pregnant duck, he held his hand in front of Dustin's face and batted his lashes ridiculously fast!
Dustin licked Lucas' hand.
Will couldn't contain it any longer, so he laughed! He laughed for the very first time in months,
"Well, maybe not like that, but we sure know Mike has a thing with El," Dustin said whilst wiping the sweat trailing down his temple. His light brown curls bounced as he sat on the leather couch, he took off his red white and blue hat from his wet hair, and fanned it on his face, "Yeah, we weren't making things up Will, that's true" Lucas paced around looking for something Will doesn't know.

He stayed silent with this goofy smile etched on his face, he looked down from where he was sitting. They were in Dustin's house and his parents wasn't home. Will contemplated and dozed off for a good 5 minutes, he stared at his shoes. They are mud brown with dirty laces, he was wearing his favorite pants that his mom originally bought for Jonathan when he was his age, he was clutching them quite hard. The smile completely fade from his lips, it was replaced with a twisted mouth and a furrowed brows. He felt his striped-shirt getting wet from his sweat.

"Man she was hella weird,"

"They locked El from this government facility her life, because they know she's different, unlike the most of us y'know? She was experimented on and played with like a ragged doll, making her do all these telekinesis shit,"
That made Will snapped his head up,
"She kept saying that the bad men were after her,"
Bad men? Where these the weird girl was taken care to?
"I wouldn't want to be like her even if I have magneto's powers, that just sounded awful man," Lucas said sadly.

If you'd ask Will Byers right now, he was obviously worried, his dark green eyes shifted from one side to another. What if someone finds out that he was coughing slugs? What if someone sees? What if they know he was becoming different? One does not simply vomit slugs out of their mouth! Or d--
"Will? Will? Byers!" He was snapped from the train of thoughts.
"Really? What is wrong with you?" Dustin sounded genuinely scared and annoyed all at the same time,
"Sorry, I was just thinking..." Will managed to come up with an answer, it wasn't convincing but at least he answered. He couldn't bring himself to speak or to move, his feet was rooted on the carpeted floor, he was gazing into nothing particular. His tiny soft hands started to water, and so does his forehead, that his hair soon plaster their selves onto him. He looked nervous, and scared, and alone.
"Thinkin' abou' what?" Lucas was becoming suspicious, Will feels it and it was the least thing he would want people to feel.
"Dinner?" He smiled at Lucas, he thought that Dustin didn't mind much and for that, Will is thankful.
They laughed, he guessed that he convinced them enough; he was partly glad but not too much.

"Race to school? Whoever comes first get to have my X-men comic," Dustin grinned, his tongue showing through his missing teeth spaces, his eyes squinted, showing more of his side teeth, his nose was wrinkled adorably.
"What issue?"

"143,"

"Hey! I should've have it by now!" Will protested. His voice rising a tad bit, his thin brows furrowed, his mouth formed a cute scowl. Will sure is a good-looking kid.

"Then you should work harder to get it ha!" Lucas was already running all the way out of the backdoor where their bikes carelessly lay outside. Dustin trailed shortly, pushing Will ever so softly away from the path.

They raced for 5 minutes, Lucas was topping, Will behind him and Dustin was like, 2 meters away from them, "Hey aren't we going to Mike's first?" Will asked breathlessly pedaling with his leg continuously but Lucas is really fast. "No, he said he'll meet us there!" And just like that Lucas was already ahead from the two.

Will is not gonna lie how that El intrigues him, how his friends sounded so fond of her for a short period of time. A week and it just seems like Mike do like the weird girl from mirkwood. He wanted to meet her so bad but it was clear how the boys said she just disappeared.

"Henderson! I'm goin' to get my X-men 143 after school!"

They were just about to enter the gate when people start to pile around,

Will hear whispers, and chattering, he couldn't keep his head up so he looked down out of shame, even if he'd looked down, he knows that these kids were talking about him. He caught the word weirdo, and strange, and gagging sounds, he heard zombie, or something the like. His head start to ache and a cough was building in his throat.

No.

Not now.

In that moment, right at that time, nothing matters. No Lucas, no Dustin, no Mike or Joyce, no Jonathan, no Hawkins. No one.

"Oh look! The kid! He rose from the dead!"

Will coughed.
