Crybaby

PART I: CRYBABY

In the hospital, where the coldness entered the room of 345, the mother whimpered in pain due to the birth of her new child. It felt as if someone continuously kept beating her with a bat toward her womb.

She yelled, the vocals echoing through the plain room. Hearing the cries of an unknown child distressed, she was relieved to hear the labor was done and the birth of the baby was over.

The baby cried out, and the mother furrowed her brows, irritated. "Oh god. . . It's a Crybaby"

The doctor wrote 'Crybaby' on the birth certificate.

Days later, the newborn Crybaby rested in her crib, however slowly opened her eyes to see the freshly painted ceiling.

Her rubber top with a design of a duck, curly hair, and a short gap between the entrance of her teeth made it noticeable to even recognize her.

Her mother walked in, her once round belly now a slim, and skinny shape. Placing Crybaby on a chair made for newborns, the mother played with Crybabys hair, and took multiple sips of the beer in her hand, and puffed out smoke from her cigarette.

Crybaby disliked this. She was never fond of her mothers attitude toward motherhood, nor her at all.

The mother picked up a spoon filled with banana flavored food for toddlers, and attempted to give it to Crybaby.

However, Crybaby refused and turned her head away from the food. This happened often, and her mother would get agitated. Crybabys brows knitted together, and she puckered her lips forming a pout.

Everyone called her Crybaby. Her mother, her brother, her father, and more. But she didn't care. Her tears may have filled up the floor, but she wondered if she'd ever drown in them.

It'd probably be her best bet.

She'd be forced to play with her toys and stuffed animals, however she didn't want to play alone. It felt as if her toys moved on their own, and it didn't just make her terrified; but also angry.

Frustration overwhelmed her, and tears escaped her eyes once more.

Crybaby this, Crybaby that.
