Chapter 7. I'm giving him a chance.

“You’re agreeing with a vampire without a fight?” I teased him, clearly amusement in my eyes, that wasn’t something I expected from him.

“when it comes to your safety and knowing I could be a part of it even if you want me or not I’ll agree with whoever I have to, now that you’re here and I we both know what we mean to each other I’ll do anything for you” he told me deadly serious and looked me straight in the eyes for me to know he was honest about everything.

I felt myself beginning to blush and I quickly turned my face to the window in my attempt to hide this reaction from him, I wasn´t used to this at all, sure I’ve dated a few guys but never felt this though.

“Psst, like Richard and Ruth will ever agree to this, and not only him but your family and pack as well” I mumbled but knowing he could still hear me.

“And who said I was going to ask for any approval? You’re my mate Samantha and I don’t care if you’re the sweetest woman or the worlds more wanted criminal for that matter” he said chuckling “besides, I’m sure once you get to know some of the pack members I’m sure you’ll find a way to them without even know it” he said chuckling softly obviously amused that he got me with no good enough come back. Think Samantha think! You’ve never been one to keep quiet at anything. Just before I was about to tell him something Erica cut me off

“I like you Sammy, and I know you’ll be a good mom and Luna or even a cool Alpha! And it’s obvious you are mates, I don’t see the big deal about it either, he just has to work and fight for you, but that’s easy. Right?”

We’re both looking at her with dumb faces obviously we totally forgot she was in the car with our little argument going on. Wait a minute! Did she just back him off?

“Did you just get in his side? Going on against me?” I told her with my serious face but keeping sure my eyes and tone kept the amusement I found on this

“Please! Erica here and I” Damian said waving a hand between both of them “are the best cool team ever, haven’t you noticed that?” he said with a proud smirk on his face, I can get used to this side of him, what! Shut up Samantha, aren’t you giving Dylan a chance already!

“Since when did you guys become a team?” I asked him and he just shrugged his shoulders and smiled at me and looking up at Erica through the rearview mirror

“Since I noticed how cool she is, and she also has a point saying there’s no big deal with us being mates, just a major work on my part but that’s it. Smart girl my little teammate don’t ya think?” Erica only giggled at this a tried to hide it but failing by putting her hand over her mouth and tried to chuckle for that.

“Um… may I remind you two I’m actually giving myself a chance with Dylan right now?”

“Why? He is not your mate.”

“He stands in the same place your standing”

“No he doesn’t! Your mine and I know it for sure, he’s mate somewhere out there just not you”

“He still stands in the same place of you and already said I’m giving him a chance, and besides! Last time I checked you didn’t want me as your mate!”

“We both know that’s bullshit Samantha! When I was younger I may haven’t understand why I was always finding this pull towards you and fighting or helping you without finding out, but now I know!”

“Puh-lease! You’re probably confusing pity and regret even maybe guilty and confusing it with the mate thing!”

“are you even listening to yourself!” he half screamed I could see his eyes turning slightly black, he is really pissed off right now but I don’t care I say what I want when I want either you like or not.

“look Samantha, maybe at first, when I thought about joining packs and helping you and your mother with Logan could be my way of saying sorry for all that has happened, but the minute you stepped out of the car you turned everything upside down and you know it!” he said with now white knuckles grabbing the staring wheel.

“Whatever Damian! You can’t expect me for me to trust you hours after I just meat you! For all I know you could be an arrogant, selfish manipulative jerk with his ego up his ass just as your parents! So sorry for not falling for you right away! I’m giving Dylan a chance who has not done anything AT ALL at me and that’s final!!!”

“Whatever Samantha, you’ll see it’s a mistake soon enough. We are here”

Just as the car parked Dylan came by my side and opened the door all in a second or two tops, “are you ok Sammy? Did he do or try anything on you?” a slow growl came out of both of them I rolled my eyes at what stupid this looks right now I’m not a piece of property they can fight each other out.

“Stop it both of you right now!” I said and they both immediately looked at me

“I.Am.Not a piece of property or prize to claim, so get you’re crap together and man up! I don’t have time for this” I told them, taking deep breaths and controlling my wolf over who wanted to come out and show them they’re no boss of me. But considering now my surroundings I stopped and looked at Dylan

“Are the vampires on our side?”

“Yes, they have news from our leader; they couldn’t afford risking a call in case Logan finds out some way like he always seems to do”

“So… what happened? Do they know about my mom?”

“yes, but they’re asking if the Alpha has a place near the gate for all of us to sit and plan this out but not deep enough in the pack to not cause unnecessary drama” Dylan said, shooting daggers at Damian. He just shot daggers back at him a quickly looked at me, his face softened up a little but he turned his face away pretty quickly and called Clark.

“lead them to the white house near the right part of the gate and set guards up the front and back, wait with them there, I don’t want anybody in or out of there, I’m going to pack house a moment with Samantha and Erica and we’ll be back in a few minutes. Are we clear?” I listened as Damian went all alpha mode on Clark, sounding ever so sexy, Stop it Sammy! WHF is wrong with me! ARGH! This is so annoying!

He turned after shutting his phone and speaking softly at me “we’re going to leave Erica at the house with Lindsay and Danielle and come back with Zach and Frank”

“Why does she have to go with you? Can´t find your way home and back mutt?” Dylan snapped at him

“Don’t push asshole” Damian said his eyes turning black immediately, I sighed and rubbed my temples

“It’s fine Dylan, I want to make sure Erica is ok also, I’ll be back in a bit” he looked at me and nodded

This was going to be a long night, I thought as we drove in silence to the pack house.
