Getting out of my truck I walked into the bar and towards the back to clock in. Putting my waitress apron on I grabbed my pad, pen, and straws. "You're late Grace" Jamie said simply "truck broke down" I said softly "I'm going to get you a new truck, that's the fifth time" he said simply and chuckled. "It's old man" I laughed and walked out. "Hello my name is Grace, I will be your waitress today. What can I get you to drink?" I asked sweetly. "I'll take a bourbon, and you want some jack Daniels?" the man asked, the only nodded. "Would you like water?" I asked and they shook their head "alrighty then, I'll bring that right out" I said softly. I walked to the next table and they ordered. Grabbing my tray I quickly loaded all the drinks up. The band started playing. "Hey where's Grace?" Janson laughed "she's gonna love this song" he said simply. I put the drinks on the table, the bourbon was last. "She's right here!" the man yelled, "get on up here and sing with me" Janson chuckled. I glanced at Jamie he nodded. I sighed and walked towards the stage, all eyes were on me.

I smirked as they started the intro. "Blame the whiskey on the beer, blame the beer on the whiskey" I said softly. I smiled as the crowd started clapping and getting up to dance. Taking the mic off the stand I jumped to the floor. "I'm only guilty of a damn good time, no it ain't my fault!" I sang while walking through the aisles. The man that ordered the bourbon wrapped an arm around my waist as I walked past him. It raised alert with the bouncers. I pulled myself away and leaned down into his face. "I got my hands up I need an alibi!" I sang sweetly and walked off, my hand ran over his friend's shoulders. I handed the mic back to Janson as I finished. Cheering echoed and the men waved me over. "I'm Neil, this is my buddy Caleb" the guy that grabbed me said softly. "Nice to meet you" I said softly "when does your shift end?" Neil asked and Caleb hit his arm. "Listen Caleb here just went through a heartbreak and he needs a little fun" Neil laughed "shut the hell up man" Caleb snapped angrily.

"I'm sorry but you have me all wrong dear" I said softly. Neil pushed a hundred towards me "are you sure?" he asked. Caleb snatched it from him "have some respect" Caleb snapped. "When I have a second-" I started but the table next to us cut me off. Neil smirked. I quickly took orders and turned them in. "Listen I get off in two hours, I'm not going to fuck you but if you want to have fun the whole crew goes muddin' if you're into that I can get you there" I said simply. They nodded. "We close at 3 it's 12 now" I laughed. They ordered drink after drink and then food. I made good tips from the tables but they brought the most, they were drunk. By 4 we were done cleaning and I had to drag the boys to my truck. "Drive to my place and you can borrow my jeep until I get that truck of yours" Jamie laughed. "I'll follow you" I laughed and he chuckled. Caleb and Neil had jumped in the mud pit. Watching Caleb stumble over I giggled. He put his hands on either side of me and smiled. His breath fanned my face.

"Get the fuck away from her" Janson snapped and shoved Caleb back. Caleb held his hands up and stepped back. "Sorry man didn't know she's taken" he laughed. Janson shoved him into the side of the jeep. "Janson that's enough" I snapped causing everyone to go quiet. "Look I'm not here to start shit, I've gotta get home anyways" I said simply and got up. Janson backed me up the the truck I had been sitting on. "Oh come on baby" he said softly "knock it off Janson I told you a long time ago I wanted nothing to do with you" I said simply. He got in my face. "Bro she said to knock it off" Caleb snapped. Janson turned around and hit him in the jaw. Caleb swung and connected with Janson's nose. "Knock it off!" I screamed as they wrestled around. Janson reached into his pocket. Yanking Caleb off him, Caleb thought I was someone else and got in my face. I watched him relax. Looking down at Janson as he held the opened pocket knife I shook my head "Neil!" I yelled. He got in the backseat quickly, Caleb climbed in the front.

Staring out of my window I sighed. "You ok?" Caleb asked softly as I took a step from the sink. "I'm fine" I said softly, stepped in front of me. "You're not, what's wrong?" he asked "I don't know you, I'm not spilling my sob story out to you" I said softly and walked past him. He caught my hand "please?" he asked and I pulled my hand away. "I have cattle to check on" I said softly. Pushing the door open I walked towards the ATV "Scooter!" I yelled and watched the German shepherd run from the barn. He jumped on the back and we started towards the cattle area. Nothing was out of the ordinary other than one of the cows gave birth. I just sat in the pasture "I think I'm going to go to the sale lot today" I said simply, of course it was to myself. Scooter yipped and I pushed myself up as one of the bulls walked over. Patting his neck I started the ATV and he backed away. It wasn't long before I was back at the house, Caleb and Neil had taken off. Grabbing my phone off the counter I smiled as Caleb's name popped up, he didn't give me his number to my knowledge.
