The battle of monsters

The sounds that was heard coming from the other side of the hill was immense. I look toward to Arina, my love/shield sister, "well we have finally come this far, lets not disappoint them". Her laughter was small and shy like, she looks towards me and smile. "Well you promised me a normal life after this so lets end this." We led the soldiers over the hill, and this is what we saw. Creatures that could've came from the nightmares of men's awaits us, they would've scared any mortal men into fleeing. We face them without fear because we are the elite army of the land trained to kill them. We came for one reason, and that to stop these monsters for brining death and chaos. Their leader is a wendigo of great power and whose name was lost long ago. The first arrow was shot and with that the battle has begun. The army charged head on with me at the head, we broke their defensive line killing them off. The sounds of battle cries and screams enveloped me as I cut down any beast that attacked me. By my side stood Arina who fired off shaft of lights from her staff vaporizing them to ashes. And on my other side was Draco my general, he was fighting with spear and shield killing any who came too close to him. A sword came close to slashing me as I was distracted, darkness swirled into a spear in my hand I impaled the attacker with it. The fight continued until the leader was left standing, most of our army was destroyed but I now finally face my greatest enemy. With a voice like whisper it spoke, the words were hard to make out as I listened. No sooner did I realize it was incantation, rage like no other has overtaken me and I lost consciences after that. When I regained my senses my senses, I regretted what I saw. Draco laid on his back with blood pouring from a large cut on his chest, and the people i fought with were dead. But in my hands I held Arina in my arms and my sword through her chest, I soon felt grief for what I had done. "so now you realize what you really are. You cant escape the monster you are, and the demons that claws inside your chest." The wendigo stood before me laughing as he came closer. I laid Arina gently on the ground and pulled out my sword  and rose to meet the beast. I allowed rage to take over once more and I attacked it with all my hate. The battle ended as soon as it almost began He was stronger and faster than me in every way, ending my life in a flash. Death grip was on me pulling me out of my body. But I will not end like this, it lost its hold on me and i stood back up. Darkness swirled around me, coating my body and blade in blackness. "You made me kill her and now I'm going to kill you"  The beast tried to run but I grabbed its neck and started carving its body with my blade making sure that every pain that my friends and comrades felt were made before they died. It tried to escape my grip but I wouldn't let go. Once it was over I broke its neck and fell to the ground returning back to death, where I will see her once more. Lights shines in my face and there she stood smiling " We may not haven't got the life we wanted but this would have to do." I grab her hand and looked at what we had to face in the afterlife. "With you I will travel to the underworld, never wanting to leave your side."
