A normal sunny day and I am going home from work. My name is Elena and I am 20 years old I live in New York but I'd like to move to London someday. I am working as a waitress in the nearby cafe.
*phone ringing*
Elena: "Hello."
Jack: "Hey, it's Jack are you home yet?"
Elena: "On my way, don't worry about me."
Jack: "Alright, umm do you wanna go see that movie tomorrow?"
Elena: "Yeah, sure."
Jack: "Great tomorrow at 5?"
Elena: "Sounds good."
Jack: "Alright, I'll see you then. Be safe."
Elena: "Bye."
That was Jack. My best friend since we were like 10. He is cute but he has a girlfriend and we've always seen each other only as friends so I'm totally okay with everything. I just hope that his girlfriend doesn't mind us going out so often. She can be a bitch sometimes.
*unlocks door*
Elena: "Ah, home sweet home."
I was so tired I immediately jumped on the bed. My room was a mess but I'll clean tomorrow. Tomorrow is Saturday so I'll clean then.
The next day
*yawns*
Elena: "What time is it?"
*checks phone*
Elena: "3 pm oh no! I'll be late."
I quickly got up brushed my teeth, took a shower and dressed up. It was 4:40 when I was ready.
And I went out.
Jack: "Oh hey. You look awesome!."
Elena: "Hi, oh um thanks."
I wasn't really dressed up. I just put on something, I was in a hurry. I wore my old usual jeans and a pink shirt. I had my hair tied up in a ponytail. My hair is curly so I couldn't waste time straightening it or anything.
Jack: "Are we ready to go?"
He looked really nice thought. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt. It fit him perfectly. It was blending perfectly with his black short messy hair and his dark blue eyes like the night sky. His skin was almost white, but he looked perfect in the sunset.
Jack: "Elena?"
Elena: "Oh, yeah. Sorry I was thinking about something."
Jack: "Haha. Okay."
His laugh made me smile. I should get that thought out of my mind he has a girlfriend...
*After the movie*
It was already 8 pm. It was really dark. The movie was great but it was time for us to go home.
Jack: "Did you enjoy it?"
Elena: "Yeah, it wasn't bad."
*Phone ringing*
Jack: "Oh, sorry. Just a second."
He ran away pretty fast he went around the corner so I don't hear his conversation. Jack looked really suspicious. I just hope he isn't cheating on his girlfriend or something. Although if he cheated on her with me I'd be fine with that.
Haha, what the hell am I thinking?
*10 minutes later*
It's been 10 minutes and he is still standing in the corner talking on the phone. Maybe if I just listen a bit it might be something important. I mean I know it's none of my business but I am worried about my best friend. I quickly sneak behind him and tried to hear as much as I can.
His tone was kind of angry and stressed.
Jack: "I told you 100 times I'll come tomorrow. Yes I know it's an important event. Ughh yes, I won't miss it. Yeah, yeah 10 pm tomorrow I got it."
*Hangs up*
Jack: "Well let's get you home."
Elena: "I can go by myself."
Jack: "I won't risk it. It's too dark."
Elena: "Well, if Maria doesn't mind."
Maria is his girlfriend.
Jack: "Of course she won't. Let's go."
*At Elena's house*
Elena: "Well, thanks for bringing me home."
Jack: "Anytime."
He smiled slightly.
He hugged me goodbye.
When we let go we were staring directly into each other's eyes.
Elena: "J-jack..."
His face is so close to mine. Is he going to kiss me?
*Phone rings*
He backs away and answers the phone.
Jack: "Yes, honey I am on my way."
*Hangs up*
Jack: "Well I gotta go. Let's hang out again sometime."
Elena: "Definitely. Good night."
*Closes door*
Oh my god I can't believe it. Was he about to kiss me?
Ughh I am blushing.
Hm?
What's this?
There was a piece of paper on the floor.
Elena: "Jack must have dropped it." Let's see..."
