Dipper's POV
I'm not even halfway through the journal yet. There seems to be too many things on my mind, with the anomalies, and that big thing that's happening at the end of the summer, (y/n), and other things that relate to the topics I said before.
What's going on? Isn't Wendy supposed to be on my mind and not (y/n)? Or is it the other way around? All these thoughts floating around in my head and Bill doesn't even want to play with them, causing me more torture than I'm already facing. Clearly, it isn't like him to do this to me!
I actually am, Pinetree. You just don't notice it. No...
Yes... Not today, please...
"Hi, Pinetree!" Bill happily said as usual, with that smug grin on his...face...or eye...and why does he look like a human? "It's because I'm in my human form, duh...you mortals are so stupid..."
"What do you want, Bill?" I asked him angrily. He caused me to lose my place in thinking...great. Just what I needed.
"Oh, nothing, but I noticed that you were having some...issues." He made it very clear that he knew what he was talking about. I, on the other hand, pretended not to know, just to get back at him for making me forget what I was thinking about.
"What issues?" I asked, trying to hide the obvious fact that he knew.
"Mortals...look, you like that (y/n) girl, right?" He asked. I could tell he was losing his patience with me.
"Yes...why do you ask? Aren't you just going to tease me about it and stuff?"
"Well...now that I think about it...it would be nice to torture you like that! But...not today.
"So...no teasing?" I asked weakly.
"Of course not, Pinetree! Listen, if you don't tell her that you like her, then she'll just be with another guy and you'll lose your sanity. I might have already made you lose it, but who cares? You'll lost it even more if you don't tell her." He told me. I was just in awe. I know he's an all-knowing dream demon who has the power to do basically anything, but to teach me about romance and all those things...I couldn't even snap back to reality in one minute. "Well, time flies but I gotta go! Remember, reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!!!"
I sighed and thought, time to go embarrass myself in front of who I thought was my enemy or something...I guess (y/n) isn't my enemy anymore.
(y/n)'s POV
I can't take it anymore...when am I going to realize that Dipper is my enemy and not the guy I have a crush on? Forever, that's how long it'll take, and at this rate, he'll never even realize that I dropped hints about me liking him. He may be smart, but at these things...he's not good at it. I just wish that he liked me back...or that I didn't like him anymore. It's causing me so much torture. I might be Pacifica's friend and the only nice one in her circle, but Dipper won't know that I'm nothing like Pacifica if he doesn't just talk to me...I just wish that he would actually just say one word to me instead of avoiding me altogether.
"(y/n)!" I heard a voice shout behind me while walking down a rocky path in the woods that led to the Mystery Shack.
"What?" I asked quietly. I always tended to use this voice around Dipper, since I didn't want to scare him away. Unfortunately, I got nervous and started being a little abrasive. "Are you still reading that stupid book?" Dang it, (y/n)...you just made a horrible mistake...
"It's not a book, it's Journal 3." He answered rudely, just as I expected.
"Yeah, and I'm just a person, not the love of your life." I huffed, turning my head away from him to look at the sandy ground, partly covered in leaves and footprints. For some reason, he miraculously started speaking again.
"Look, I was wrong about you, and I didn't know it at first, but...uh..." He just trailed off, then looked at the floor, his hat covering his eyes and part of his nose.
Looking down with him as well, I saw a note made of sticks. It said, "He likes you. He just doesn't know how to express it and gets really shy around you. Do you like him back?" There was another note on the bottom of that saying, "I'm talking about the guy with the pinetree hat, in case you didn't know." An arrow pointed to Dipper, and I slowly felt a blush form on my cheeks. I looked up and saw a red Dipper, giving me a note that asked if I wanted to go out with him or not. Happily taking the note, I agreed, and kissed him, right there, on the lips. I could sense his surprise slowly going away and his confidence building up.
Yes...this is what I need after a long day of arguing by myself.
A/N: Please note that the official version of this one-shot is on Quotev. I only edited a few words and sentences.
In case you are wondering, yes, this is my first story on Wattpad. I deleted my Wattpad account a few other times, but this time, I decided to keep it.
I hope you enjoyed this short story.
