~ Karen's P.O.V. ~

"Momma! Momma!" The bed bounced under me and I hummed softly at the small hands that gripped at my arms and shook me. Ted must've let Michael out of his crib before he left for work.

"Yes, Michael?" I turned over, facing him on the bed.

"Do you remember yesterday? When we went to the park and played with (y/n)?" I nodded, smiling as I propped myself up a little against the bed.

"Of course I remember her." Michael nodded and I noticed he had tried to change himself, though his shirt was on inside out and his pants were backwards.

"You said we could see her today. You promised." I nodded, moving myself to sit up completely now.

"I know. It was a pinky promise, so that means I can't break it ever." Michael nodded, grabbing at my hands and pulling on me.

"So you gotta get up!" Michael fell back from pulling on my arm, but quickly stood again and was jumping on my bed. I watched him with wide eyes, then shoved my blankets back.

"Alright, alright." I laughed at Micahel's cheer as he slid off of my bed and took off running. A moment after he was gone, a series of thuds came from the stairs and I pushed against the bed, scrambling to the stairs as Michael let out a yelp. When I got to the top of the stairs I looked down to see Michael lying on the floor, looking dazed. "Michael? Are you alright?" Michael lifted his head, a smile spreading across his face.

"Momma, I'm awesome!"

~

"Mike! Mike!" I looked up from helping Michael up one of the platforms to see (y/n) and (y/m/n) coming towards us. Today (y/n) had a small bun on her head.

"(y/n)!" Michael grasped at me, silently asking for my help for him to get down. When I set him on the ground he ran to (y/n), quickly talking before he moved to hug her. I watched with a soft smile. (y/m/n) came to stand by me, watching the two with me as they raced to one of the slides.

"All (y/n) would say was his name last night. She was really excited to come play again." I nodded.

"Yeah, Michael woke me this morning worried about the park. Barely allowed us to eat breakfast." (y/m/n) laughed. A little ways away (y/n) beat Michael to the slide, slapping her hand to the worn green plastic.

Some time in our park visit, a third mother, Marsha, joined (y/m/n) and me in conversation. Her daughter had vibrant red hair and large glasses. The daughter's name was Barb, and her and Nancy seemed to get along easily as they played tag around the playground.

"I should probably take (y/n)-" (y/m/n) began to get up, but I stopped her, surprising both her and myself.

"She could spend the night with us if it is okay with you. Michael gets along with her so well." (y/m/n)'s eyes searched mine, looking uncertain. "I'm a stay at home mom so it won't be too much trouble on my part. I do well with children." (y/m/n) looked back to (y/n), then sighed and nodded.

"Sure, why not? I mean, it's good for her to have a friend that she can hang out with like that anyway. You'll probably have to stop by for some of her things though, or I can go to your house." I nodded, ready to say more, but the sound of running footsteps stopped me.

"Mommy? Can Nancy spend the night?" I looked back to see Nancy smiling at me, arms linked with Barb.

"I think that depends on what Nancy's mom says." My lips quirked in a surprised smile at the two as their eyes turned to me and I nodded my head. Nancy unlinked her arm from Barb to hug me while muttering a quick 'thank you.' Nancy pulled away to go back to Barb, whispering and giggling with her.

"Nancy and Barb look to be the same size in clothing, so you don't have to worry about dropping off clothing for her. Nancy can just wear Barb's clothing." Marsha informed me as we exchanged numbers, then I did the same with (y/n)'s mom, thanking the both of them. I watched as Marsha left, holding Barb and Nancy's hands as they crossed the street to get to Marsha's car.

I looked at (y/n)'s mom, who was holding (y/n) and quietly talking to her. Michael was running to me from the playground.

"Are we leaving? Where'd Nancy go?" Michael huffed, looking back to (y/n) in (y/m/n)'s arms.

"Nancy is staying the night at Barb's house, and (y/n) is going to stay the night at our house after we pick up stuff from her house." Michael smiled at me, clapping his hands together.

"Yay!" I smiled at him, then picked him up, putting him in his stroller. Once he was in, I looked back at (y/m/n).

"Are you ready to go?" All (y/m/n) did was nod.
