Jay had always liked writing on his arms. It was fun because someone always wrote back. He always knew it was his soulmate who was writing back, everyone knew, because it happened to everyone. It had always made him feel bad for his soulmate, because he got so many cuts and scratches all the time. A few months ago, he had turned 14, and finally got some information about who his soulmate was. He had woken up and checked his right wrist, and there it was; Barr 6/16/14. He would meet his soulmate on the 16th of June of this year. He remembered going straight to a calendar to mark the date. Now, 4 months later, that day had finally arrived. He got up, groaning about getting up this early on a summer Monday. He had signed up to do a week long acting camp at school, courtesy of the Hartford Stage. He was excited, because he loved to act, but he was also nervous. Today was the day that he'd meet his soulmate. As he rode the bus to school,he spent time drawing an elaborate rose on his left wrist and arm. Once he finished, he turned to look out the window, but soon after, he felt the familiar tickling feeling of someone writing on his hand. He looked down at his left palm, where, in a cute, bubbly script, was a short message: Hey, that's a really nice rose.He grinned and grabbed a pen from his pocket, scribbling back: Thanks Ms. Barr. I can't wait to meet you! After a moment came the reply: Wait, you're already 14!? I still haven't turned 14 so I haven't gotten your name. Don't tell me anything though! I wanna be surprised, and I can't wait to meet you either! Jay was surprised to hear that she didn't know that they would meet today, but that fact also relieved him. Maybe he would be able to hide the fact that he was her match and they could try to be friends normally instead of feeling forced to be together from the start.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey everyone, its me Jay! Sorry for the really short chapter, but I wanted to get the introduction out. Bear with me, as I am still not used to the whole romance writing, but I would love to hear your comments on how I can make this story better. The next chapter will be Jenna's POV and is going to be written and posted here by Phanandbands_af. This chapter was written 3rd person style, but for the rest of the story it will be mainly 1st person, regardless of whose POV. Thanks for reading and please stick around for the next chapters!
