"Fine, I'll go if this means that you will be quiet. Does that sound okay?" I groaned, as my best friend, Jake, grinned. He had been pestering me to play this new video game he got, called The Imagination Game. In my opinion, it sounded stupid. The deal was that you basically build a new world and the game creates a villan for your world. You defeat the villan, you get to go and free style the world. After that, you need some coins for upgrades and new worlds.
"Thanks, Marcy! I am positive that you'll LOVE it. Come on over to my house!" Jake said, and started for the door. I sat up straighter.
"Now?" I asked, in disbelief. Jake shrugged.
"Why not?" He asked. I sighed. The sooner we got this over with, the better.
"Alright, Jake, but this better be good." I said, getting up.
"Yup. You are going to love this!" Jake cried, happily.
We went downstairs and I called out to Mom that I'd be going to Jake's house. We lived, like, literally next door, so it wasn't much of a walk, and we arrived at his house in about 30 seconds. He took my arm and pulled me to the living room. I sighed, tapping my watch as he pulled up the game. Jake chose a world he could free style in, and added my name. That's when it happened. I felt a tug on my body, and instantly was swirling through space. I landed with a VERY graceful thump on something soft yet bouncy. I went up a few times before lying still. Then Jake landed next to me and we bounced up again. I looked around. I was on a purple mushroom with navy blue spots. I groaned.
"Jake, what did you just do?" I asked, annoyed.
Jake didn't answer. I looked over at him, who was staring at the sky. A huge smile stretched across his face.
"I don't believe it! We're in my video game!" He whispered, over and over again.
