Skin against skin
As the crowd shrinks in.
The walls begin to fall
But she continues on.
The whispers grow louder
And pound in her head.
She is screaming inside
But no sound escapes to the outside.
Tears descend down her body
And collect puddles by her feet.
The water rises to her neck
Drowning thoughts inside her head.
As the words rip her clothes,
They dig deep into her soul
And begin to call this new place home.
The walls fall around her
Trapping her in this place.
As she reaches her hand out
Into the abandoned space.
