Chapter 53: Hungover Mornings

AMYS POV

I walked down the corridor towards a sofa full of hungover people, with Ben sitting next to Ryan, who seemed the worst affected.

"I swear I will never drink again" He groaned as he held his head.

"You said that last time" I laughed, stretching my arms out wide and sitting on Bens lap.

"Morning" Ben kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me.

"Morning" I replied.

"Well this time I mean it ok" Ryan said, laying his head on Jackie's shoulder. She just patted his head unsympathetically and laughed.

The bus had been moving for a while now and we were fast approaching Columbus. As everyone tried their best to recover from their hangovers, me and Ben decided to go and play xbox, rather than listen to the hungover moans. We went upstairs and I sat in Ben's lap on the beanbag on the floor.

We sat there for a couple of hours playing various xbox games, all of which I was awful at. We then watched a film as Ryan and Jackie had joined us. We decided to watch Mean Girls because me and Jackie loved it! Ben moaned but ended up enjoying it, and hungover Ryan ended up asleep on Jackies lap.

After we had watched the film we had reached Columbus. We went to explore a little bit before finding the venue. When we reached the venue I sat down with Ben.

"We've been together a year next week!" I smiled.

"I know its been the best year of my life!" He replied, smiling and planting a kiss onto my lips.

BENS POV

I had a huge surprise in store for Amy next week. It was our year anniversary, and although that may not seem like long for some people, me and Amy felt like we'd known each other for years. We had gone through more within the last year then most couples do in their lifetime. I wanted to show her how much I loved her. There had been something playing on my mind, but I tried to focus on the present, right here, right now.

AMYS POV

Ben zoned out so I kissed his nose to try and bring him back down to earth, it worked. I stared at him waiting for an explanation, but he just smiled and kissed my lips. I wonder what he was thinking about.

*After The Show*

Me and Ben went and got a late night Starbucks. We walked down the breezy Columbus streets and Ben wrapped his hand in mine. It was quiet and we only got stopped twice for pictures which wasn't much compared to normal. We walked into Starbucks and Ben ordered our drinks whilst I found a table near the back. When Ben approached it he sat opposite me and handed me my drink.

He stared at me for a couple of seconds, just smiling.

"What is it?" I giggled.

"Its just, it's almost been a year and it's hard to believe we've only known each other for one year. So much has happened.." He said, staring into my eyes.

I took a slurp from my straw,

"I know. I haven't been this happy for so long. This past year has been good, for the most part, and I have had the best time with you. I know I want you in my life forever"

I smiled as he extended his hand out for mine, taking it and rubbing my thumb with his.

"Forever" He kissed my hand.

BENS POV

I know I have said it all along, but honestly, that moment right there sealed it. I knew she was the one for me. I had never felt this in a relationship before. She was the missing piece, it was like I had been searching my whole life and I had found my soul mate. My missing puzzle piece. My Momma always told me that Id find someone who would take my breath away, who would make me truly happy. I had never believed her until now. Every time I kissed Amy I felt a spark run through my veins. Every time I looked in her eyes I got lost in their beauty. It was so hard to explain, but I never wanted to lose Amy. She is the one person in the world that I can be myself around and I felt honoured to have her in my life.

AMYS POV

When we finished our drinks we exited the Starbucks and walked back towards the tour bus.

Ben pulled me close as we walked. I inhaled the fresh, cold air. As we boarded the bus, Ryan was sat at the table at the front.

"Where have you guys been?" He asked, peering his head up from his laptop screen and raising an eyebrow.

"Starbucks" I smiled.

"And you didn't bring me anything back" He opened his mouth in shock before laughing.

"Sorry Dude" Ben laughed back.

Ryan returned to his laptop screen as I walked down the bus.

"Goodnight Ry" I said, walking past.

"Night Amy!" He said happily.

"I'll be through in a minute I just gotta speak to Ryan" Ben said sitting next to Ryan.

"Okay" I simply said.

Why did he need to speak to Ryan? Oh well, Im too tired to worry, I'll ask him later, I thought.

RYANS POV

Ben told Amy he needed to speak to me. Amy left and Ben sat down next to me. I turned away from my laptop screen to face him.

"Whats up?" I asked, confused.

"Well, next week It's mine and Amy's one year anniversary.." He started

"And I want to show her how much I love her, and how much I will always love her. I want her to know that she is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with." He explained.

"Are you gunna say what I think you're gunna say?" I asked.

"If you're thinking of a proposal, then yes!"

He announced, quietly. A smile filled his face, stretching from one ear to the other.

"Thats amazing. She will definitely say yes. You are both madly in love with each other, anyone can see that. Im so happy for you dude!" I told him, trying to remain quiet, but finding it hard considering the good news.

"Can we keep this between us, the only people that know are Amy's family. I haven't even told my own yet!"

"Sure. Your secrets safe with me" I whispered as I zipped my mouth with my hand.

"Seriously, congrats bro!" I said, patting him on the back.

Some people might be a little sceptical about a couple getting married after only a year of dating, but if anyone should get married, its them two. They have got through so much together in the last year and deserve eachother.

AMYS POV

About 10 minutes later Ben walked in with a huge grin on his face.

"What did you need to speak to Ryan about?" I asked

He hesitated slightly, before answering,

"Just a new beat we're working on"

I nodded as he undressed and got into bed next to me. I snuggled up next to him and looked up at his beautiful face.

"Goodnight Ben Haggerty, I love you"

"Goodnight Amy Thompson, I love you too" He replied, kissing my forehead.
