I rolled my eyes and sipped my orange juice.Me and Daddy are going to a new island he just bought a week ago.And guess what?WE'RE STAYING THERE FOR LIKE,A MONTH.
"It's been like a year since we went on a trip,Dad.Plus,we'll get to spend time with each other since you're always busy with work and blah,blah,blah."I whined,crossing my arms.
Dad set down his cup and massaged his temples like he always does when I get immature.I mean,he keeps saying that I should grow up but why should I?Being an adult is BORING.All you do is WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK.Hashtag,I am the new Rihanna.Dab on that.
"Melissa,you are going to succeed my company and I cannot have an irresponsible woman handling all of my hardwork."
"Pfffffttt!"I've heard that for like a gazillion times already.
Then the captain suddenly spoke up,"We're here,Amanpulo Island.And we're goin' to land this baby,yeahhhhhh-Pardon me,Mr. Parker,I didn't mean to announce that."
With that,my father facepalmed and I let out a small chuckle.
After a few minutes,I was clutching my shawl as I descended the plane.I ran around as soon as my flip flops touched the cream-colored sand.
I smiled,"This is going to be one heck of a summer!",raising a fist in the air.
