Jane walked through the door just as the bell rang. She sat down in her usual seat next to Lewis and Jackson. Although she was good friends with Lewis, she strongly disliked Jackson.
"Hey purdy girrrl!" Jackson said as Jane sat down.
"Shove it Jackson." She said and turned her back to him, facing Lewis. "Are we still staying after school with this idiot?" and stuck her thumb over her shoulder.
Lewis looked up from his paper, flipped the hair out of his eyes and said casualy, "Hey, you're the one who insisted you stay. Although I can't say I'm upset you are. I don't think I could make it without you." and with that, he looked back down and continued sketching in his book.
Jane had always liked Lewis. She loved the way he flipped his blonde hair out of his face and how it fell back over his dark eyebrows. Even though he hated his dark brown eyes, she loved how they reminded her of the tree they kissed under a year ago. Lost in her day dreaming, she didn't realize he caught her staring, again. Man Jane, when are you going to learn to control yourself? she thought.
Time seemed to fly by as they each went from class to class. Jane checked with her other friend, Fraya, to see if she was staying after school.
"Hey, so we're still doing the thing today? You know with the office and put up all the sticky notes?" Fraya asked rather loudly.
"Oh my gosh, Fraya! Not so loud!" Jane whispered harshly. Fraya is her best friend, but Jane knew of her stupidity. They've been friends for as long as they both could remember, and had never gotten into an argument. Fraya was always the more popular one, captain of the cheer team with average B's and an occasional A' or C'.
"Sorry..." Fraya whispered. She was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she was the prettiest. Her long, caramel hair flowed down her back, stopping just above her waist. Her violet eyes shone through even in a dark room. Her voice was soft and silky, and her creamy, ivory skin made her look like an angel. "Will you text me the plan one more time?"
Jane sighed, "Yeah as long as you promise not to show anyone." Yeah because we don't need her leaking it again and having another incident like Jackson coming and screwing things up... she thought.
"Hehe okay!" Fraya giggled, and walked away, hair swaying like vines in a rainforest down her back.
Okay tonight's the night, were going to lock ourselves in the bathroom until 12, then go out to Mr. Lawsons' room and put sticky-notes on everything. Then hide in the cafeteria until the janitors unlock the building tomorrow, then sneak out the back and into the parking lot. Seems easy enough, as long as Jackson doesn't do something stupid like trip over nothing and blow our cover. Jane continued to ponder on that nights plan when Lewis caught up with her in the hallway.
"Hey, last class then we're meetin' in the bathroom down the left hall, right?" Chase asked as he tried to flip the hair out of his face. He knew Jane loved that, so he did it constantly just to make her blush.
"That is correct. And don't forget to grab the extra food and water I put in my bottom locker just in case we get locked in all night, please." She said and pretended not to notice his beautiful tree eyes staring at her. Gosh... why does he have to be so cute...
The last class went by in a blur. Next thing she knew she was standing outside the bathroom waiting for her friends. Eventually the kids found their way there and they hauled into the bathroom and locked the deadbolt.
