Spike -- One shot

Part One

Spike walked over to the bar again, this must have been his sixth time going back up for more booze. The bartender raised his eyebrows at him but still gave him whatever he ordered. I can't go back now. I failed. I was supposed to kill her... that's what Dru wanted. That's what everyone wanted me to do. Spike rolled his eyes and took a shot of his whiskey. I can try again. There's always a new day. He thought to himself. "Bad day or bad breakup?" A voice broke his concentration. He looked up and his eyes widened at the sight standing in front of him. He struggled to find the right word to say. So instead, he just smirked and took another shot. "What's it to you,luv?" He asked as he pulled out a cigarette from the pack in his pocket. She sat in front of him, crossing her long legs and she smiled. "Been watchin' ya for a while. For a skinny dude... you can drink." She smiled. "Surprised you're not drooling all over yourself" she bit her lip, trying not to laugh. Spike just smiled a little and lit his cigarette. "I ain't like most men, there luv." He said and she quickly snatched the cigarette from between his fingers. "I can tell. Not all men could drink as much as you have and still stand." She took a puff and slowly blew out the smoke as she smirked slightly. Spike raised his eyebrows at her and shook his head. "I gotta go. Have that, drink those." He stood up and fixed his leather jacket before he walked towards the exit. Just as he was close to leaving. Buffy walked in with her two friends. Spike tucked behind a pillar and stood there as he waited for Buffy to get further away. Suddenly, lips pressed against his and his head was forced to the side. "God. Get a room." Buffy snapped as she past them. Spike and the stranger stood there for a moment and she smiled at him. "You can thank me another time." She winked and walked out of the bronze.
