~CHAPTER 1: Driving Into Emptiness~

*Put on Rain Sounds*

It was dark.... and...cold in the car, i looked around knowing, i was in the middle of nowhere, the driver told me "Don't Worry miss.. we are going the right way" he said in a nice voice, he seemed... To be really nice, always looking back to see if i was doing ok, its kind of makes me feel a bit safer, knowing i have someone to watch my back, i was a shy person i never really talk to anyone until i was about 7 years old, but now i am 18, i feel more open then i did when i was small, but still.. you cant be to careful.

As the Car Was Moving, i looked outside, and saw little drops of water blowing against my window, i followed a drop of water all the way down to the end of the glass and the drop of water, blow off the side of the car as it was moving....i giggled a bit to myself, because it reminds me of when i was in the car with my mum and dad, but... also it reminds me.... of that day where my mum and dad... died in a car crash.... and i felt a bit of water going down my face, and it was not the drop of water i was following.... it was a drop of sadness rolling down my face as i looked out the window again, the driver looked back at me and saw something was not right so he started to talk to me.

Driver: "you ok back there? you seem to be upset.... did something happen" in a concerned smooth Voice, i looked at him and just looked at the window again.

Driver: "well if it makes you feel better, we are nearly there, do you want to be dropped off here or" in a calm voice.... but i quickly answer

???: "i...i don't m..ind, you can drop me anywhere" i said in a shy and  sad voice still looking at the window.

Driver: "well i know its raining really hard so.... i will drop you near a stop that has trees to cover you so you don't get wet" in a slow voice knowing that i was a bit shy.

???: "t....t..thanks, hey driver"

Driver: "yes miss, whats the problem"

???: "m..my name is ..... umm... Emer..ald" in a smooth and shy voice, she looks at the driver and looks down at the old leather seat she sat in and plays with her hair .

Driver: "That is a very nice name, its a cute name... like you miss Emerald"

Emerald said nothing and just looks down at the seat and then back at the window.

Driver: "well....um sorry to ask miss but.... where are you headed... i saw you trying to talk, to a guy to give you a lift somewhere" 

Emerald looked at the driver and sighed and looked back at the window "Well, i am meeting a f...friend and we are going to... go somewhere... i don't know where but its somewhere" she says in a nice calm voice

Driver: "well that sounds fun miss Emerald... but be careful the weather can really... mess up your day" the driver looks back to see Emerald and  the weather starts to pick up so he puts his lights on to make the road glow bright yellow.

 Emerald: "y...ya that is right i guess,,, the weather is like a monster that could come out any time, and you have no idea when its about to kick you in the ass again.... "

The driver laughs " y..ya you can put it in that way.. it is like a monster or as i call it, the black Knight, i don't know why i called it that,  but ya anyways, we are coming to your area now so you want me to drop you off here?"

Emerald looked up at the driver and looked around she puts her head to the window to see if she could see where she was, her warm breath hits the glass of the window and it steamed up making it harder to see out of it she looks back at the driver.

Emerald: "This looks like the area... i hope it is" She grabs her backpack, from the side of here and puts it on in the car it was hard because the little amount of space she had in the car, trying to get her big bag on her back was hard, she then forgot to put her warm hoodie on but she did not care, the rain for her felt like it was washing away her sadness and horrible dreams she had.

Emerald: " t...thanks driver this means a lot you know, sorry i don't have a lot of money on me right now but.." As she was about to say her reason the driver stops her.

Driver: "its fine don't worry about paying miss Emerald, you don't have to pay, just if you need me to pick you up again give me a call" The driver hands Emerald a old bit of paper with his number on it "and also call me tails" he smiles at Emerald and she smiles back.

Emerald: "thanks tails, i will call you if i need you, see ya!"

Emerald open the door, the sound of the raindrops hitting the hard ground was calming, she got out the car and shuts the door, she watches tail drive off as the two red glowing lights got less brighter as tails drove off in his car, it looked like a monster with red eyes walking away in the darkness of the rain, it made me look at it again it scared me a bit but i got over it as the water started to become cold on my skin... and it gave me a chill.  

After that i looked both ways and crossed the long,creepy road and walked into a open area with a pathway, my friend "Paws" showed me this pathway along time ago when i was about 13, he was nice, i kind of liked him in a way but i never told him. I always think to myself, "why was i so scared?, and also why did i like him" in our school he seemed a bit over the top, like in a moody way, sometimes he would just get moody with people who did not want to do simple things like walk or put things away, but something about him really made me love him, i don't know what that is but anyways, i should be thinking about getting out of this rain so i started to walk down the pathway...
