A blood lust

Love makes you crazy

"I am the most happiest man in the world.I have the most amazing girlfriend in the world."

That's what I've been telling myself for the past hour.But it's not true...She was the one who started this mess.Why did she...why did she have to break my heart.We could've been happy,together forever,with children.

Maybe this is all my fault,I was the one that killed her.Now I'm looking at her lifeless body, regretting life choices.I don't know how in the world I did it.I am the wimpiest one of my friends. But here I am standing over my dead girlfriend's body,with a bloody knife in hand.I urge myself not to say"if only my friends could see me now."So let me try to recap why I did what I did.

*two hours before murder*

"Oh goodness babe,stop worrying about your hair",I say mockingly.

"Well it's not like you were ever a girl.",she snaps back.

I honestly love her sarcastic side.It's one side I have to see all day,so you get used to it.After a semi-long ride,we arrive at our destination.

"Oh wow,you remembered!",she says excitedly.

What she is referring to is the restaurant we're at.It's a place she's loved since being a little girl.We walk in and are immediately taken to our table.Before now,I have walked in here multiple times to get our reservations right,so they know what we're here for.After seated,they bring us foods of extraordinary delight.

"Its been handpicked by me.",I say smugly.

Though I'm worried,because Joni looks as quite as a mouse,and hasn't eaten anything.

"You okay,you look pale.Eat something,its delicious."

Before responding she shakes her head,almost like  a shiver.

Then says "I'm not really hungry tonight."

We eat in silence.Though It's only me eating,and her staring at me.After I finish my food,she starts talking a bit.Just small talk,about the weather and news.

Then she says,"Um-so I've been meaning to tell you something."

I stop her before it gets out her mouth,"Say no more Joni,just wait."I get on my knees and pull out the ring.

"Joni,you make my life worth living.This world we call home,wouldn't be a home to me without you.After all we've been through I can't live without you.So without further a do,please,will you marry me?",I state.

Through my whole speech she is shaking her head.

"I-I-I CAN'T! I don't love you John.I'm sorry...i never have..."

*10 min after*

The car ride home was in silence.Joni's friend Sonya couldn't pick her up,and I couldn't leave her in the rain,so she rid home with me.My eyes were red from crying,Joni wouldn't look at me.I guess you shouldn't look at the guy you have recently dumped,while he was proposing to you.

We finally arrive at our house.She jumps straight out of the car.I on the other hand sit there for a second.Then head into my house.When I get in,she's packing up her stuff.

"Your leaving?"

"John,why would I stay here.We just broke up.",she sounds like shes talking to a preschooler.

"Joni,maybe we could-"

"JOHN,NO I DON'T LOVE YOU AND NEVER WILL!!!WHY CAN"T YOU PUT THROUGH YOUR BRAIN THAT I DON'T LIKE YOU AT ALL"

"I HATE YOU"

The moment the words come out her mouth I know I'm broken.It's like the moment when you can feel your heart beat,instead I feel it break.Like an empty shell,I have no heart it's all gone.The pain is unbearable...why doesn't stop...must get rid of the pain...but how...I look up, and out of my eyes,all I see is hatred for the woman I loved.

Then my body works on it's own accord.I swiftly grab her hair,and drag her down the stairs into the kitchen.Making sure she hits her head on everything.I look down on her,and there is nothing but terror on her face.She squeezes her eyes tight hoping it's a dream.It's not.If it was why would it feel so good...

"i'm sorry john..i do love you... just let me go"

I start to laugh maniacally,and get  a shrewd look on my face.

"You think you can walk all over me huh,You think I'll just be the nice guy and accept the fact that after all these years...WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER YOU JUST NOW REALIZE YOU DON'T LOVE ME!!!",I say with bloodshot eyes.

Joni is now shivering with fear,trying to crawl away from the living terror that is me.Eyes still shut with utter fear.I grab a knife,and pull her towards me.Clutching the knife in one hand and her in the other.

"j-j-j-john please don't do this",her voice more quite than a whisper.

"Oh Joni,I have to,or else you'd get away with stealing and breaking my poor little heart.",I whisper in her ear.

I chuckle to myself as I stab her.I go deep down until I reach some bones,then I wiggle it.Blood is going  everywhere,and I love it.I curve the knife down and down,until I reach the end of her stomach.She tries to squirm away,but i've got a tight hold in her.

"Once I'm finished with you, you won't know what pain is anymore..."

And she didn't,cause she died...
