Edward's point of view
"We won't be long, Son" Esmeralda said as she planted a quick kiss on five year old Edward's forehead.
That was the last thing I ever heard her say to me. That was the last time I heard the comforting voice of my loving Mother. That was the last day I ever loved anyone. That, was the last day I let anybody love me.

She was buried next to my Father, which seemed fitting. Just at the top of the Emerald Hill, where all of the royals are sent to spend their afterlives. 'Only the best rest here' she used to say, but how could I perceive her as being the best when she left me to fend for myself and rule this diabolical excuse for a kingdom.
Everybody in the kingdom watched the funeral, showing their love for the famous pair. Together once more, and never to be separated again. People offered their condolences but it just went with a blur. I felt numb, it was as if my heart had closed itself off from every feeling except hatred and anger. Hatred for all of the Doctors that couldn't save her life, and anger that I was now left alone. Many called this day the beginning of the end.

How do people expect you to continue with life, after losing the the most important thing in it? It's hard, trust me. My mind is just messed up, having watched what happened to my Father, and seeing my Mother grow weaker day by day. Having my Brother ripped from my world and a considerable lack of friends leaves you a long time to ponder on the dark thoughts. Losing all of the people that you love is difficult, but being left alone to fight the inner demons and the sense of weighing guilt is way worse. That's why I needed someone like her. She could be my saviour, if only I knew how to get her on my side...

Anastasia's point of view.
"AHHHHHH"
Silence followed; As I turned around to see if my family was okay, I soon realised that I would be the only one making it out alive. It's funny, I'd always wondered what it'd be like to be an orphan but right here, right now, it didn't seem to matter, they were hardly what you could call parents anyway.
All I cared about was my Sister. My beautiful, talented younger Sister, she always had the grace and elegance that I lacked in. Her baking and flute playing was exquisite. And her singing as soothing as birdsong on a summers day.my eyes shifted to look at her, I could barely see her perfect complexion behind all of the bloodied mess that surrounded and covered her, her glowing skin was now as pale as snow and her once vibrant eyes were more lifeless than a rock. My role model and bestfriend was gone. And I wished it was me, I wished that I could take away her pain and suffering. But I couldn't. Everything happens for a reason, but right now, I couldn't decipher what reason could justify this horror.

This chapter is just to set the scene and give some context. It's based four years in the past but written as if it's the present. It is quite a depressing chapter but I needed context for you to understand future actions and references.
As I am studying #psychology there are some theories that I'll be incorporating in my work, if you spot them please comment. :)
I hope you enjoy the forthcoming project and please tell your friends about ROYAL RECONSTRUCTION
