"What do you believe in?" I often ask that question to myself as I gaze out the window to my left during class. The person sitting next to me is Mika, my childhood friend.

"Are the religious claims that I have heard all my life is accurate? Like Hell, Heaven, A God, A Savior, Angels, thats one of the many reasons why I want to die, because I'd love to hear more about this God many people preach to-" Suddenly Mika, brought me back from my deep thoughts, I looked at her, she was smiling as she pointed at a part of the textbook.

The rest of the day flew past, and as always me and Mika go home together, same road, same streets, same shops. We were walking by each other, I noticed Mika checking her bag as if she's looking for something, she looked at me and said "Rei go ahead I forgot something at school." She was smiling, but her eyes were empty. "Sure, be safe" I replied. As she walked to the pedestrian crossing I continued to look at her. She stopped on the edge of the side walk and turned around, as she looked to the right side of the street, as a truck approaches, "I love you, Rei" she said, before taking One. Step. Back.

Her blood stained my clothes. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. 3 months has passed since then, I wasn't myself. I often skipped class, and went to the rooftop of the school. I never stopped thinking this is the best possible time to know what happens after death. "I want to see Mika again."

So I stood by the ledge of the school rooftop, I wrote my suicide letter.

"Thank you for everything."

I jumped. Head first, my life flashed before me, suddenly I woke up.

I woke up in a purely white room, sitting in front of what seems to be a secretary at work focusing on her paperwork, I asked her "Where am I?" "In the waiting room Mr Kusanagi"
She replied then continued to focus on her paperwork. I was so confused, I stood up and looked at her, I asked her again, "WHERE AM I?!" She just stared and told me "Please wait Mr Kusanagi, you will be briefed on what will happen next."

I have so many questions to the secretary but I didn't get the chance to ask because she had recieved a phone call. After the conversation with what seems to be an important person she gave me an odd looking paper and a small blade edged fountain pen and told me to cut myself and make a line of blood on the paper, "That is a seal of acceptance, once you sign it, You will now become a Spectator, If you decide to that is."

Angrily I replied "I will not sign anything, I want to talk to the one in charge!"

"Be careful what you wish for" She said in a chilly, dark voice as I slowly blacked out..

I woke up. My eyesight is blurred but I know that I'm in a large room.

I heard a voice of a woman, "Welcome to level 2"
