"Ugh just do it already. It's obviously so clear that you love him it's almost sickening. Melanie was resting her head lightly on the palm of her hand.
"Can you just please do it one more time to make sure?" I pleaded. My best friend for life, and really the only one at school who seemed to like me and wasn't necessarily scared of me, could read minds. Actual mind reading. This made it very difficult for me to keep things from her. She always knew.
They were currently at the Slytherin table eating their breakfast. Well, they were supposed to be there to eat their breakfast anyways. Draco was too busy gawking at Potter to take notice to his breakfast of toast and eggs which were starting to get cold.
"So what's he thinking of?" I started to ask impatiently.
"Pancakes. He's thinking of pancakes."
"Anything else?"
"Hmm yes."
Harry craned his neck and looked towards the Slytherin table. Draco met his eyes and Harry looked away quite quickly flushing a slight shade of pink in his face.

"Hello there Potter." Draco sneered.
"Hi Draco," Harry replied sounding drained and not up for their usual fight of insulting words. Harry had a slight crush on Draco he was willing to admit, to himself at least. I was their fourth year at Hogwarts, but Harry had realized his feelings for Draco in 3rd year. And well maybe it wasn't a slight crush. He'd been thinking a lot about Draco recently, even going as far as to having dreams about himself and Draco cuddling and watching a movie. Harry, of course, thought they'd make a cute couple but he was sure that Draco thought the opposite. Even if Draco had liked Harry, Harry was afraid Draco would say no when he asked him out because Draco would think Harry was playing a prank on him since they've had a deep "hatred" towards each other ever since Harry had rejected his friendship in their first year.
"Watcha reading there?" Draco peered over Harry's shoulder. He felt butterflies in his stomach as he felt a warm breath run down the back of his neck making him get goosebumps.
"What do you want Malfoy," Harry moved awkwardly to the side and shut his book looking up at the very pale boy.
"I want to know what you're reading, obviously." Draco slid in the armchair next to Harry.
"Quite surprising that you're in a library." Harry looked everywhere but at Draco, even though Draco was burning a hole in the side of Harry's face with a very intent stare.
"Well, I happened to see you come in here so I thought I might as well too." Draco's ears went a shade of magenta.
Harry turned his head to look at Draco, a grin slowly spreading across his face.
