Six years before 1965
I am (Y/N), (Y/N) Winston I am 8 years old I live with my brother Dally, who is 12 now, our dad is a low life who gets drunk and try to hurt us, our mom disappeared when we lived in New York. Anyway I am part of what you could call a "gang" but we are just a group of kids that stick together and have each other's back. Our "gang", including me, has eight members starting with Two-bit he is always trying to make a joke even if no one wants to hear a joke he will be belting out jokes. Then there is Steve acts like he doesn't like me when the gang is around but when it is just him and me he can be one if the sweetest people you will ever meet, also there is Johnny he is really shy but he is one of my closest friends. Last but not least the Curtis brothers, Darry is 14 he's his like a big brother like Dally be he is not a overly protective as Dally is, Sodapop is 11 he is also like a brother to me he is always happy and cheer but is a really good person to talk to when you are sad and my best friend Ponyboy he is the same age as me 8, he is not like the other his isn't like a brother to me he is more than that I have had a crush on him since we meet which was 2 years ago when Dally, our dad and I left New York. I have had a crush on him but no one knows and I hope it stays that way I don't wait to ruin my relationship with Pony. Anyway get back on track, the gang is going out to see a movie. On the way there everyone was talking to each other and I was in the back thinking about my dad and my mom. Our dad blames us for her disappearance but I was only 6 at the time so I didn't really understand what happened and Dally was only 10 so he couldn't do anything about it. After our mom's disappearance our dad started to drink. I thought back to that day our dad told us we were going to Tulsa...
-Flashback-
Dad came home late one day, I could tell he was drunk, and he told us to pack because we are move to Oklahoma, Tulsa. Dally told him "Your drunk dad you need to go to sleep and think about it in the morning not while you are drunk" after Dally said this dad was beyond mad he punched Dally right in that face, knocking Dally out. I turned to my head, hot tears were streaming down my face as I look at Dally on the floor knocked out by our father. Dad walk into his room and slammed the door behind him, I tried to pick up Dally and take him to his room but he was to big for me to carry him. So I just sat next to him and cried try to wake him up but I couldn't. The next day I pack my stuff and Dally's stuff so we were pack to move to Tulsa.
-Flashback over-
I was snapped out of my thoughts by Ponyboy tapping my shoulder and saying "Uh, (Y/N) we are here" we are at the Nightly Double to see a move (duh...). We went under the fence so we don't have to pay, I sat down next to Ponyboy with Dally on the other side of me. The seating went Dally at the end, me, Pony, Johnny, Darry, Two-bit, Soda, then Steve at the end. The gang took up almost the whole row of seats "(Y/N) do you want to get some popcorn and soda" Pony asked me "Um... sure" I say trying to sound cool but failing , Pony gave me a small smile I smiled back blushing like crazy. As Pony and I walk away Dally holds my arm before I could walk away and says "Is there something going on with you and Ponyboy?" I look at him like he is crazy (because he is). "Um... no why would you think that" I was blushing a very dark red, I look at Pony his face is red too, "Ok then, get me a coke" Dally say handing me 50 cents. I nod my head and walk away quickly trying to hide my face, "Sorry about Dally you know how he is" I say to Ponyboy who was trying to hide his face because he was still blushing. "It's fine, Dally will be Dally that is just how he is" Ponyboy say laughing. After we got our food and drinks we walked back to our seats but we were stopped by a group of Socs,keep in mind we are only eight about to be nine so we got a lot of weird looks walking by ourselves, a the group of Socs who were a little bit older than us. One named Bob started, we know him because we go to the same school, "Hey Greasers what are you doing walking around by yourselves, what mommy and daddy don't love you" he said the others laughed. I look at Pony with a sad expression on my face, Pony knows that I had to move to Tulsa because of my mom disappearing and he knows how my dad treats Dally and I so right after the Socs were done laughing Ponyboy says "Hey, you better watch it", "No YOU better watch it pal" a Socs named Randy said with bitterness in his words. "Come on Pony they aren't worth getting upset over" I said giving them a mean look. We got back to our seats the movie already started. Dally wasn't in his seat so I just assumed he was trying to pick up a broad. In the middle of the movie I felt someone hold my hand, it was Ponyboy. I look at him and he was smiling so was I. But all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain on my left side like someone had hit me and after that all I saw was darkness. I woke up in a white room with beeping nosies around me, my left side really hurt. Then I saw Dally and the rest of the gang they were staring at me with sad looks on their faces. Then I heard someone start to talk "This is all my fault I should of been watching her" it was Ponyboy then another voice said "No it wasn't Pone you couldn't have done anything, It is not your fault" I am guessing it was Soda because of how calming the voices was. Then all of a sudden Dally walks in and tells everyone to leave, they don't then Dally says "Guys, seriously you have to leave before-" Dally was cut off by our dad screaming at them to get out or else. They all look at me and walk out none of them realized I was awake until I looked at Pony and mouthed the word "Don't leave me" he looked at me and started to cry as he walked out and my dad slammed the door behind them. I told Dally "I love you" and fell back asleep but before I was completely asleep heard him say "I love you more".
A few weeks later I was out of the hospital I don't remember what happened and Dally nor my dad will tell me what happened. Dally and dad said that I am not aloud to talk to the gang anymore because of what ever happened. But since I went to the same school as them I had to stop going to school but dally felt bad because he know I liked school so every day after school he would teach me what he learned.
