Chapter One - Flashback

Brooke POV

"No mum go away" I screamed

"No you need to be punished you bitch" She screamed back in my face

"I don't deserve this i did nothing wrong" I said trying not to let her see the pain I'm in 

"You just did by answering back to me you seven year old useless bitch" She said

"I'm 9 you should know that" i said hurt

The next morning i had enough i ran away to my dads he knows nothing about this, I lived there for a month then i found him dead on the sofa there was nothing else a 9 year old could do, the worst moment of my life i had no choice but to go back to my mum. When i got there i was suddenly felt like crying but i needed to stay strong so i wouldn't get hurt as much. When i was 14 i  had a new little brother called Sam so i thought she would change but i was wrong nothing changed. It was my 15th birthday and i decided to take Sam and me to Hawaii to live with my big brother Ashton then Chelsea my best friend wanted to come so i let her. We got to Hawaii i could already smell the ocean and beach it was a start of a new and better life so we got to Ashton it was a nice little house by the Waikiki beach when i got there with Sam and Chelsea i saw some white stuff and a tube thing on the table.

"Ashton whats this" i asked picking the tube and white stuff up off the table

"Its mine leave it and promise me that you and Sam wont ever touch this stuff okay" Ashton said

"Okay but what is it"

"Its Ice and Cocaine"

"is it bad?" i asked curious

"yes very"

then i went to bed the next morning i woke up did my normal stuff, Sam was still sleeping so me and Chelsea went on the beach she went of to play in the water like a 3 year old but she's 10 i just sat on the sand and it suddenly hit me all the pain the tears i just cried quietly on the sand i looked up for a split second to see if Chelsea was okay she was in the water i saw her talking to a guy surfing then he started to walk over so i just put my head down and tried to calm down but i couldn't i tried to hide my arms and neck because i have  2 scars on my arms and a scar on my neck.

"Hey are you okay why are you crying" i heard a boy's voice say

"Its nothing" i said back

"come on look at me" he said so i looked up at him he was beautiful

"I'm Leland by the way and whats your name" Leland asked

"I'm Brooke" i replied. then he got a phone call

"I'm at the beach.......Why..........A girl called Brooke.........Okay I'm coming come pick me up then i get ready in the car........ okay.......bye" Leland said into the phone

"My dad sorry i gotta important" with that he walked of and a car picked him up i walked home with Chelsea to went to my room and sat there and cried.
