My wild journey to Neverland

Prologue

I was running in front of Elli, dragging her behind me so we don't get separated. We were about to run into the woods when we stopped. I looked at the woods in front of me, and then to the orphanage behind us. Then I looked at Elli, but she looked scared. She noticed me looking at her and did her famous "I'm fine" smile. She was good at hiding emotions with this smile. Although she didn't fool me, cause I taught her everything she knows, and asked with curiosity , "What is wrong you look worried? Are you having doubts about leaving?" She replied in a quiet tone ", No I'm not having doubts. Just a little scared." She sheepishly looked up at me, and whispered ",What if we get caught. Or hurt out in the forest. Or what if-" with a stern yet kind tone I interrupted saying ", What if we're fine. What if we get away. There are so many what if's, but none matter as long as we are together.We can overcome anything. Now let's fined Neverland and be lost girls!" With that Elli simply smiled a toothy grin and nodded.

    I went in first with Elli right behind me. We walked for what seemed for only a few moments when I heard something. It was like music from a flute, and there were shouts and hollers. Like there was a big party going on.

    "Hay, do you here that Elli? Cause it sounds like what we're looking for." I said looking at my friend with a small smirk. She nodded not looking at me, but at were the sounds were coming from. I slipped on my black mask and black hoodie/cloak. No ones ever seen my face except Elli. She did the same as I, but had a white mask and hoodie/cloak. We slowly walked towards the sounds to find a group of masked people in animal skins dancing around a fire. There was a piper and boy next to him as well.

    As me and Elli stepped out of the bushes the music stopped, and all eyes went to us. I didn't like the attention but Elli seemed fine, so I kept my blank expression. I noticed that the piper and boy next to him started to approach us. I started getting a bad vibe, and grabbed my dagger on my belt. They obviously notice cause they stopped a few feet away looking at me.

    "No need to do anything reckless now." Spoke the one in the animal fur. He had a thick British accent, and a pipe in his hand. "Now then, who might you two be? Are you here to be my lost boys or are you here by mistake?" He asked with a hint of suspicion laced in his playful tone. He looked between use then stopped on Elli when she spoke up.

    "No, we're not here by mistake. We came to be lost gir...boys. I hope you're not rejecting us, cause I thought Neverland was for all lost children?" The one in the cloak, like us, stepped forward trying to look intimidating. Elli must have thought he did cause she stepped behind me. I simply stood there, he wasn't all that intimidating as he thought. The one with the pipe held his hand up and the other stopped. Looks like that one is in charge of the boys I thought to myself.

    The "leader" then looked at us and took a few cautious steps towards us. I immediately reached for my knife again. I narrowed my eyes, and search for any sign of weapons. All I could see was his flute though. Once I was done with my oral look over I looked up to no longer see his partner. In a flight of panic I rushed to grab my dagger, but was immediately stopped by a hand on my waist and one on my arm. I snapped my head around to fine no other than the pipers partner. I acted on instinct and stepped on his foot then elbowed him in the stomach. He

let go and let out a large groan, and stumbled to the floor.

    " Do not sneak up on me again. Or you'll have more than a sore stomach." I spit out with venom in my voice." Calm down, he was simply keeping you from attacking anyone." I looked at the boy on the ground then back to him ,"Well next time tell him to keep his distance. And watch his hands." I narrowed my eye like I was trying to make him explode. He shrugged and took a few more steps forward. This time Elli was the one to speak.

    " Look we simply want a place to call home. We mean to cause you no trouble. After all, we came to be lost boys." Elli said standing firm. She looked at me and I at her, and then I nodded.

We have been together for years, and to the point we just need to look at each other to know what we are trying to say. We used this form of communication to get out of trouble, to share information, to do everything you can do with words. We also can tell what each other feel when others can't. In a way we're mind readers.

After I nodded to her, the piper spoke with curiosity",Oh! We have some mind readers. How interesting, care to share what you just nodded to?" The rest of the lost boys let out giggles and whispers. " Yes I do mind, Piper. Who are you to know what we do? And furthermore were not mind readers but observers." I spated out to him. He straightened up from his hunched stance and began to remove his animal fur and mask." Oh? Did I forget to introduce myself?" He had the entire costume off by now,and to my surprise it was him.

" I'm Peter, Peter Pan . "
