"TYYYYYY!" I heard Adam scream. As I turned around his hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me up into his arms. I turned my head back to see an army of squids.
"Goddammit why can't we just have a normal day at the beach" I muttered. I noticed Adam was carrying me bridal style before I felt my face heat up.
"Uh Adam?"
"Yes Ty?"
"Can you maybe I dunno put me down?"
"No,"
Came his immediate reply. I turned my head in the direction of where we were running to see the castle up ahead. Adam was panting but managed to continue running. I have no idea what motivated him to make the choice but he ran much longer than he usually does even in training. He jumped over logs, ducked under tree branches, and side stepped branches with animals on them. I smiled at him caring so much. Once we got to the entrance the guards were taken back by our appearance but ran off to fight the squids. Adam tiredly set me down carefully on the ground and lazily walked into the castle. I got up and followed him in slowly. He trudged into his bedroom and I scurried to the doorway. I peek in to see him laying asleep on the bed. I smiled at the sight and tiptoed in as quiet as possible. I studied his face to see it sweaty and a few cuts and bruises.
"Tsk tsk tsk," I whisper as I take out the medical kit on his wall. I grab a washcloth and dipped it in soap and water. Then I washed
all the sweat from his face and body. I put ointment on all of his cuts and wrapped up every part of his injuries. I smiled at my work and kissed his lips softly. "Sleep tight my king," I said in a hushed voice, bringing the covers over his sleeping body. I crept out of his room with a grin on my face. I had just kissed my crush.
