~Gil POV~

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

I duck just as a shoe comes flying over my head like I expected it would after Ashley screamed like that.

I stand, turn around, and glare at her.
"I'm just trying to help and make sure you get some rest!", I say.

She's 3 months into her pregnancy and the mood swings are definitely in effect.

"I'm fine! And I can take care of myself! I'm only 3 months along Gil! I'm not exactly at the point of needing bed rest or anything!", Ashley replies and glares back at me.

"But-", I start to reply but she cuts me off.

"No! Just go and please leave me alone for a little while!"

"Fine!", I say throwing my hands up and turning to walk out the door.

I go downstairs and make my way over to just sit on the couch. Ashley and I have had many fights like this in the time she's been pregnant, so I know it won't be long until she comes downstairs searching for me. The first time we had a fight like this, I actually left for a while and came home to find her nearly having a panic attack. Needless to say, I never actually left again.

I hear her footsteps on the stairs after I've been sitting down there for about 5 minutes. She is visibly relieved once she comes around the corner and sees me on the couch. She immediately walks over and hugs me, sitting in my lap.

"I'm sorry!", she says and begins to cry. "Please don't leave me!"

"I'm not going anywhere, sweetheart. You know that.", I respond while rubbing her back. She nods and begins to calm down.

She pulls away and somewhat shyly looks up at me. "Do you still want to fix dinner?", she asks. This being the topic that had set off the fight.

I raise my eyebrows. "Do you want me to?"

She nods and slightly smiles. "I do really like when you cook."

I laugh and kiss her forehead, moving her so I can stand.  "Okay then. You sit here and relax and I'll get everything ready."

She grabs my hand as I start to walk off. I turn back to look at her.

"I love you.", she says and smiles again.

I bend down to kiss her forehead once more. "I love you too, sweetheart."

I then head to the kitchen to start dinner while she gets some much needed relaxation.
