another roleplay story. roleplay by: yours truly and Ruby, who'd probably kill me if i put her wattpad on here. This story is a florist/tattoo artist AU. Characters, Rebecca the florist and Vivianne the tattoo artist. LETS GO!

The bell above the door rang with the same enthusiasm as usual. I heard the heavy footsteps on the grey tile and looked up. "Good afternoon" I greeted. The owner of the footsteps looked over at me. She smirked at me and wandered closer. As she approached, I could see multiple tattoos trailing over her body. She waved slightly. "Hey."

My eyes widened and I hid my hands beneath the counter. "How can I help you?" I asked. The woman looked at the flowers, occasionally running her fingers over the delicate petals. She stopped at one of my favorites. "What kind of flower is this?" she asked.

I shrugged. "I dunno. My sister picked them up and 'forgot' to tell me what they were." I said. The woman nodded. "Ok" she said, pulling a small sketchpad out of her jacket pocket. She tugged off her gloves, exposing more black ink swirling over her fingers.

"You've got quite a lot of tattoos." I said. The woman looked down at her arm and smiled. "Yeah, I guess I do. Kinda my job, so I love them." She said. I watched as she began sketching the curved petals on the flower. She glanced up at me. "You should come by. 'Cause by the looks of it, you dont have any tattoos." She said.

I rubbed my arm, painfully aware of the jacket sleeve riding up and exposing my wrist. "Ive never thought about it." I muttered. "I guess, I guess I'll think about it." I added.

The woman added a few finishing touches to her drawing and closed her sketchpad. "Well, if you ever want a tattoo just come to the place next door. We got the place next to you. I'd love to see your face again." She walked over to the door. "See ya flower girl."

The cheerful bell rang out again as she walked out of the shop, her pinkish red hair shining in the setting sunlight.

I smiled. "Heh, yeah." I said quietly. My co-worker Katelyn came out of the back room, her arms loaded with boxes. "ooooooooo. You crushing?" she asked happily. I felt the hot blush fill my face and instinctively mumbled "Shut up."

Katelyn set the boxes down and chuckled. "Nah." she said easily. I crossed my arms in retaliation. "Right, well, I'm going out. I've got a thing to do."

Katelyn smirked. "Like see the mystery crush?" she said. I almost hit her. "No." I said, grabbing a hat and tossing it over my dirty blonde ponytail. "I stained my white button down and my cousins wedding is in 3 weeks. I need a new shirt."

"Heh, fine." Katelyn said, shrugging. "But be careful! Its almost sundown and shit goes down after sundown."

"Yeah yeah. I know." I said, waving off her concern. I watched the sun set over the calm Stafford skyline. I shoved my hands in my pockets and hummed an old tune to myself.

It didnt take long for one of the drunks to find me. He was easily twice my age, staggering across the dimmly lit park. He saw me and smiled. "Heeeeyyyyyy mama, how you doin'?" he slurred. I rolled my eyes and tried to move past him. "Fuck off." I said.

"Ah, a cat that bites." the man purred. "I like it." he said. I reached for my back pocket, where I normaly kept a small pocket knife. "I said fuck off." I said again. This time it was more of a warning than a request however.

The man grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him. "Or what?" he growled. I twisted my arm out of his grip and glared. "Or else I'll punch you." I said clearly.

"Aww, but I bite back thou-" The man started to say. He was cut off by the mystery girl shoving him away. "Ey, Bucko. The fuck you think you're doing?" she demanded.

"I don't need your help." I said, looking at her. The man pulled a gun out and messily clicked a bullet into the chamber. "Yeah!" He yelled. "She don't need your help!"

"Woah. Ok. Uh." I said, voice breaking. My small frame shook, and I felt sick. The mystery woman pushed me behind her. "You'll be fine." she promised.

The man chuckled darkly. "No you won-" he was cut off again, but not by the mystery woman. He had pulled the trigger on his gun. The sharp, loud noise echoed through the dark square. I instinctively flinched and pressed my hands hard over my ears.

the mystery woman scooped me up bridal style and began running. By the time we had made it back to my shop, I had pulled my hands off my ears and stopped shaking. Shadows stained the ground, growing from the soft lights of the flower shop. I looked at the mystery woman. "You can put me down now." I said quietly.

The mystery woman nodded and put me down gently. Katelyn came running out, a frenzy of worry. "Oh my god, Rebecca are you ok?" she said quickly, wrapping me in a warm hug. I nodded, mumbling "Yeah."

Katelyn let go of me and turned to the mystery woman. "Thank you for bringing her home safe." she said. "I heard the gunshot and-" she stopped. "Hold on, are you bleeding?" she asked slowly. The mystery woman paled. "Uh, shit, look at the time. No problem, by the way. Bye"

I watched the mystery woman turn and walk back into her shop, pressing her hand up against her chest. "Bye. Thank you for saving me." I mumbled, walking into my own shop and sitting on a small bench. Katelyn followed me, standing before my hunched figure.

She glared down at me. "What happened?" she demanded.

I shrugged. "Rapist, had a gun, she saved me. I'm going to bed." I stood up and pushed past Katelyn. As I walked slowly up the stairs, I heard Katelyn call up to me. "You are so dead when you wake up!"

I nodded. "Got it." I said sleepily. I grabbed the first pyjamas I saw and changed slowly. I was about to settle into bed when I heard voices outside. Peering out the cracked open window, I saw Mystery woman. She was sitting with another girl. The girl seemed annoyed.

"What the fuck V? It almost hit your heart!"

Mystery woman groaned, her hand still resting on her chest. "Its just a fucking gun wound. Can you patch it up though? Im tired and I wanna sleep."

"What in hells name were you doing out there anyway?"

"I was walking and I saw the flower shop chick walking and some guy was trying to get her, so I stopped him."

I closed the blinds but not the window and sighed. "Katelyn, I'm going to bed. Do not open my door, at all." I called to my roommate. A faint ok echoed through the door.

I turned back to my window. The mystery woman was talking again.

"Ive got to go to my friends wedding in about 3 weeks. Think it'll be healed by then?"

"If you dont move much, then yeah, you should be good."

"Thanks. Night."

"Good night."

I closed my window and sighed. I stared at my calendar, thinking. The wedding was on there, dress shopping was on there. I grabbed my red pen and sighed. I counted four days from tonight. I scribbled a reminder to myself. "Make up your mind about tattoo."

I fell onto my bed and closed my eyes. I was ready for today to end.
