"I love you more Colette!" He laughed,

"What the heck are you doing here?!" I asked him, jumping back and getting all excited, "I just turn around and OH MY MERLIN THERE'S A LUPIN IN THE KITCHEN DOORWAY!"

"I know!" He laughed, "I just popped around to say hi, you know how it is. I couldn't not come and see you off to the Burrow, could I? Got to make sure Fred and George are sure of what they have to do to look after my baby girl." He said and patted my head,

"Oh come on!" I laughed and shook his hand away from my hair,

"Ahhh, you're a lovely child Colette." He smiled,

"Just called me Lottie Dad. Please." I basically begged him and he sighed,

"Why don't you like me calling you Colette?"

"'Cause it's uncool. And hardly anyone calls me Colette anymore."

"Dumbledore does." Lupin pointed out,

"Yes, but Dumbledore's Dumbledore. He can do whatever the hell he wants." I replied and Lupin laughed, "McGonagall calls me Lottie. McGonagall's more cooler than you are Dad. And you don't want to be more un-cool than McGonagall do you?" I asked and wiggled my eyebrows,

"I shall now call you Lottie!" He laughed and I grinned,

"Thaaaaank yoouu!" I said and hugged him,

"Oh, here." He said as I pulled over, reaching inside his jacket pocket and giving me a pink envelope. I looked it over and gave him a look, "It's an early birthday card!" He laughed and I made the 'Oh' face,

"C-Can I open it?" I asked and he nodded. I ripped open the envelope and put it on the counter. The card was purple with a pink 16 in the top left corner and two rabbits on the front, "That's freakin' awesome." I said, staring at my card.

"Open it then." Lupin grinned so I did. Inside was another small white envelope and a small message written in Lupin's handwriting,

Colette,

I know this is the first birthday I could have actually give you a card, and I hope you can forgive me for everything. Don't open the other envelope until it's your actual birthday. Hope you like it.

Happy Sixteenth Colette. I'm sorry for everything and I hope you know me and your mother will always love you.

I looked up at Lupin and he smiled at me. I smiled back and gave him another hug, "You'll be careful tomorrow won't you?" He asked me quietly and I nodded my head, "Promise?" I nodded again, "Because I'll have to come and tell you off if you aren't good. Arthur will tell me." He said and I looked up at him,

"Really?" I said with a hint of sarcasm and Lupin laughed,

"Really."

"OH! FRED! IT'S THIS ONE!"

"NO WAY MAN! IT'S THAT ONE!"

"I KNOW WHAT HER BLOODY HOUSE LOOKS LIKE! BESIDES, SHE'S THERE IN THAT KITCHEN! AND LUPIN'S TALKING TO HER!"

"DOUCHEBAG TWIN!"

"And that's the twins in casual mode." I laughed as I shook my head a little. Lupin chuckled,

"But you know you love them."

"More than most."

"You favour one too." Lupin said and gave me this knowing look,

"No I don't!" I defended. Okay, so maybe this isn't something I want to be discussing with my dad right now,

"Yes you do! But which one is the mystery." He said and looked in thought,
