Your school, Glasswick High, had been known for the past two years for the brothers of mischief who attended there. They were all the same age as well, always in the same classes and being found together at lunch. No, it wasn't just two brothers. Not three either. It was four, four quadruplets. Each of them had a nickname around the school and a rumor. No one enjoyed confronting them about it and asking questions, and the brothers were well aware on what was said. It could leave on extremely curious. Not to mention they didn't have a single thing in common appearance wise or with personality.
Their nicknames were given by what people perceived as their personality from the side and with small conversations. The first one to go over is "The Player" of the for, less known as Nathan "Nate" Kingsley. He was known to flirt with just about any male or female in the school and he had himself a new lover almost every week. People whispered that he started this when he got his heart scorched by a girl who led him on all throughout seventh and eighth grade before leaving him for the fishes in freshman year. The fiery redhead was devastated at first but soon managed to get over the heartbreak. At first, it was one girl then two then a male then another date and another. He led on to be a big player with everyone, mending and breaking hearts like there's no tomorrow. But then again, the way he came to this life style was just a rumor so there was a possibility he could do it for another reason. Perhaps he found joy in it? Maybe he just did it to cheer a person up but only for a short while? Who knows, but he had no sense of responsibility it seemed. Which that brings us to our next brother to cover.
Ryan Kingsley, also known as "The Responsibility", was the one who kept his brothers from falling apart. Well, two of them at least. Due to taking care of three people instead of one as well as keeping up two after school jobs, he was exhausted and it was miraculous how he managed to keep himself awake during the day and keep his grades up to high B's and A's. There were various rumors that drifted around the school about him. One of the following was he was an insomniac, which explained why his eyes were so sunken in and why he appeared so exhausted. Another said he was anorexic, which would explain why he was so thin and how he got sick at the simplest of things. The last was a rumor which was known around the entire school. Everyone knew their mother had died when the were at a young age, and some people used this to fuel gossip. They said that when his mother died, he decided to take on the responsibilities she had to help out his father and brothers. He learned to cook, clean, get his brothers to and from school safely. Especially since his father was always gone working, people theorized he had neighborhood jobs as a young child to help get food for the house and that was one reason he had two jobs now. Then again, those who provide the secrets spread through halls are never valuable sources.
The third brother had the highest grade in nearly all of his classes. "The Intelligence" was Mel's nickname, and he didn't seem prideful, like Nate, and show off this talent or annoyed, like Ryan, when people questioned him to test this ability he had. He was always found doing some kind of work or tutoring his brothers aside from in the band room after school where they allowed him to have rights to the piano found inside. He was the more silent and strong type of the four, as well as fluent in French. This is where the rumor comes in. Peers chose to use this as well as his passion for France to say he was illegally brought into the country by the father of the other three. Being the same age, they allowed him in and treated him like that of a brother. He was picked up off of the streets and cared for by the others. Some girls found it charming that he rumored to be from Paris, France "The City of Love". This was one question who would not answer though, one of the only ones that he would never reply to. Only the three which he practically entrusted his life to would know the answer, even the dumbest of the group.
Fred Kingsley, the last of the brothers and labeled as "The Ignorance". He was the goofball of the group and known as the youngest of the four. Most siblings that were born at the same time would've hated being called the youngest, but Fred didn't mind it in the slightest. He enjoyed being the youngest and being able to depend on each of his brothers, though they could be fairly rude and mean at times. On top of the fact of being the youngest, he was a helpless romantic. He was known to have crushes on various people and fall into those who didn't have good intent for affection quite easily. His rumor was that he was neglected as a child by his father and his mother was the one who had a close relationship with him. Her death devastated him and he turned to his brothers and other people for comfort. He never really managed to get over her death so he kept turning to anyone who would take him for acts of affection and comforting. Due to being neglected by his father, he never really caught onto how the one he was dating may have treated him wrongly since he saw it as a regular way to care for someone which you love.
Now, you were standing in science class with these four in front of you. They were your partners for the upcoming project on the human mind. At first, you had a great excitement for the project and getting to know them but only three minutes and they were bickering. You thought of how different they were from one another and how the only one any of them ever really partnered with was Mel in the past since Nate and Ryan could barely stand one another. How in the hall was this going to work? Would they be able to cooperate? Would they finish in time with all the arguing? And most importantly... how bad was your grade going to drop from the slop they would turn into the teacher and call half of their grade?
