It had been 2 years since the events that had taken place in those labs. James had decided to try and rebuild his house, and live there once again. Emily on the other hand, had chosen to stick to science. However instead of what she used to do, she decided to go for something a bit more practical. I still try my best to visit with them both every once in a while. However, I have decided to just try to live my life normally. Just like none of what I had witnessed ever happen. Though, unfortunately that wasn't as easy as I had thought it would be. Instead, I resorted to therapy. Well...by I resorted I mean, James and Emily recommended it. Although they said I didn't have to, but I did anyway. I thought it would help out a bit, and it did. Though... my so-called normal life all came to a screeching halt.

It was late, and my bedroom dark. I was planning on going to bed just like I always did, though this time I did something that I hadn't done in a while. I glanced over to my dresser, only to notice that there was an odd blue-ish light shining above it. I stood there and gazed through the darkness at the faint glow. Soon enough I began stepping toward my dresser, and peered at what was creating the glow. Sitting there on the dresser where I had left it, was the pale blue-ish stone pendant sitting loosely on its silver chain. However, that wasn't just it. The stone's surface was glowing faintly, with strange marking patterns. Last I remembered, this thing didn't glow. I reached out my hand to touch it, and as soon as I did the light faded away. I found it odd, though I just shrugged it off. I could have left it on the dresser, but instead I picked it up. I studied the pendent, before finally deciding to put the necklace on. I then headed back toward my bed, before finally lying down ready to get some well needed rest.

I opened my eyes to darkness. I stood there confused and panicked at first. This wasn't my room. It was then that I began to relax a bit, remembering that I was sleeping and this was probably just a dream. I then felt a presence form, although it seemed sort of familiar?
"Taqiir, you need to go back...." I heard a voice say.
I stood there puzzled, "go back..? Go back where?" I questioned.
"Amara, you must go back.." The voice seemed to plead.
"Go back whe- wait, how do you know my name..?" I inquired, my mind twisting with questions. There just seemed to be a pause.
"I see, you don't remember do you.." The voice seemed to sigh. I just stood silent, I was trying to wrap my head around what any of this could mean.
"Amara...It's time to remember..."
"Remember wha-" I was cut off by a bright flash off light. Following the light was a brief glimpse of a landscape of some sort.

I woke with a start, frantically glancing around me. I was back in my room, I immediately glanced over at my clock, 9:00 A.M.
I got up and walked toward my window, and opened the curtains. It was a fairly sunny spring day, though I knew it was going to be fairly cold so I grabbed my jacket before I headed out. I had to ask James about this, maybe he would know something. After all, he was the one with all those strange books.

As I was walking down the path way towards James's house, I was suddenly stopped in my tracks. I was mystified by the sight in front of me. It looked like some kind of creature, it was fairly large and had almost mythical features.
It looked almost dragon like. Except, it had large feathered wings, with feathers also on the end of its tail and down its back. It also had fairly large horns on its head, as well as rigid scales down its back. I stood there, frozen in confusion and wonder. It seemed to be starting right at me. I attempted to take a step forward, though the creature seemed to move as well. I froze again, and it also stopped. I then had a thought, was this even real, had I finally gone insane. It was then that I was startled by a sudden glowing light.

I glanced around confused, before finally looking down. I had totally forgotten I was wearing the necklace. It had started glowing again, I then looked up to see the creature staring at the pendant. I gave a puzzled expression, although it changed to one of fear as the creature began stepping closer. It seemed to freeze when I took a step back. It looked up from staring at the necklace, to staring at me before stepping closer. I began backing up some more, until I found I couldn't anymore for I had backed into a tree. Panic began to grip me as the creature got closer, I closed my eyes in fear. Although, nothing happened.

I slowly opened my eyes, only to be met with the eyes of the creature. Its face only inches away from mine. I stared at it terrified, that was until it backed up a bit. It then went back to staring at my necklace, I glanced down at my necklace and then back up to the creature. I then carefully picked up the pendent, and held it as high as I could out in front of me. The creature seemed to give a bit of a curious expression, before beginning to step closer once again. It then stopped with the end of its snout inches away from the glowing stone. I stared at it curious myself.

"Why are you so interested in this pendent...?" I mutter to myself, intrigued by the creature.
It then touched the end of its snout to the stone, and there was a strange flash. I flinched and closed my eyes. When I opened them, I seemed to witness many different images flash before my vision. I quickly shut my eyes once again, before slowly opening them again. This time I saw I was still on the forest path, but the creature was gone. I was still holding the pendant, I soon drew it closer and examined it. One of the markings on the pendant was still glowing, before it finally faded. However, left behind was the marking that was engraved into the stone's surface. I gave it a curious look, before letting drop back into place. The pendant fell limp once again, dangling from the silver necklace chain.

I had to tell James this, he just has to know something. No...he does know something, and I wanted answers.
