Blackest of fury rolled across his expression as he heard her utter those three simple yet taunting words

He flipped

All it took was those three stupid words to rip him over the edge and he flew

All I saw was red as I lunged at him. The darkest fury pushed its way in to my calm facade

I let down my guard for one second and she will pay the price

She trembled with fear as she waited for his anger to disintegrate but from years of experience he knew that he would always have the anger and hatred that flared within him

Her pain encouraged him to carry on, to not hold back but then he remembered his words all those years ago.

Do not take this oath thoughtlessly desire becomes surrender surrender becomes power

He couldn't carry on as he mindlessly willed her to live for him and she did

In fear of him she left but she couldn't shake this liveliness he awoke  within her whenever he spoke to her
She could feel herself begin to hope as she finally determined her feelings
She was hopelessly,insanely and selfishly in love with the joker
