You sighed, wiping down the counter slowly. You had been working at Coffee Bean Coffee shoppe for a while now, and everything became routine to you. Same duties, same faces, same orders, and same time. This was so routine that you usually had all the morning and afternoon's duties done before 3 PM and all the night's duties done four hours before closing.

You continued to mindlessly wipe down the counter and stare out the window, when suddenly the bell to the freshly Windexed glass door rang. You looked up to see one of your close, and one of your only, friends, Jason Nash. Jason was wearing a red t-shirt, jeans, and his favorite baseball cap.

You shook your head at him, smiling. You hated when he wore that hat. "You still have that old thing?" You said jokingly standing straight and putting the wash rag underneath the counter in the bucket it belonged in.

"Yeah, it's my favorite."

Jason and you had met a long time ago, when you first started working at the coffee shop. He had come in and ordered his drink and accidentally spilled it. He apologized a million times, even though you told him that it was fine and that it happened all the time. After that, you two would talk everyday when he came in. He had always talked about doing sketches with you, but it seemed like one always had to work when the other was off, or something got in the way.

"But you have such nice hair! Anyway, what's up?" You asked changing the subject. You hadn't realized the person standing slightly behind Jason.

"I just came by for the usual, and I wanted you to meet my friend, Brandon." Jason stepped to his right slightly revealing his friend.

'Wow.' Was all you could think of in this moment. Brandon had dark, messy brown hair, nicely kempt facial hair, and a warming smile when he looked up from his phone to you. You nearly melted right there. His eyes were the deepest and softest brown eyes that you had ever seen. Like smooth, sweet chocolate.

"Hi." He spoke, his dimple showing. He held out his hand to shake yours and you kindly took it.

"Hi." You smiled back, ((Insert what you would usually do to your hair. IE: tucking your hair behind your ear or brushing your hair from your face shyly.))

Jason smiled to you then to Brandon. "This is, (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Brandon." You both nodded and Jason continued, as you proceeded to make his latte. "I was thinking that the three of us could do this funny sketch I was thinking about!"

"That could be fun." You said briefly looking back to them over your shoulder from the machine. Brandon nodded in agreement. You spoke again, turning around to the counter with Jason's cup and grabbing the whip cream to spray some on. "What would you like?" You politely smiled at Brandon.

He shook his head. "Nah, I'm good. Not much of a coffee drinker, honestly."

You raised your eyebrow. "You sure? This ones on me." You got out another cup.

"If you insist." He laughed, "Uh, what do you recommend?" Brandon squinted at the chalkboard above you.

"Chocolate caramel latte with 2 pumps of vanilla and whip cream." Jason chimed in with a feminine voice, clearly proud of his usual drink choice. He sipped his, sassily closing his eyes as he did so.

You and Brandon snickered at him, then you told Brandon what you thought was the best. He Nodded in thought. "Alright, I'll try that." You smiled and made him and yourself one and to your surprise, he liked it.

A group of three girls and a guy walked into the shop, interrupting your little meet up. Jason and Brandon took a seat at a booth across the cafe while you took the group's order. Once you were finished with that, Jason walked over dropping his empty cup into the trash and spoke. "Brandon and I are going to head out now. Kids." He rolled his eyes and you acted as though you understood, even though you didn't have any kids of your own. "What days do you have off?" He asked stuffing three dollars into the tip jar.

You got out the rag and began wiping off the whip cream and coffee grounds that had gotten on the counter. "I have tomorrow off actually, and, um. " You thought a moment about the work schedule you only saw once. "I think Saturday?" You questioned yourself.

"Alright. Tomorrow is Thursday, which works for me. Does that work for you to hang out and film?" Jason asked pointing to you. You nodded with a smile. The two of you looked over to Brandon who was pretending to be on his phone so he didn't look so alone at the table. Jason pointed to him. "What about you?"

"Yup, works for me." Brandon held a thumbs up and smiled awkwardly at the girls across the cafe who were looking at him and smiling.

You put your eyes down at the counter when you noticed this. The girls giggled and the boy that was with him rolled his eyes. You could never help but compare yourself to women like that.

Brandon got up from the booth and headed his way to you and Jason. When he got to the counter, he gestured to his cup. "That was actually really good." He nodded and added, "Thanks." He and Jason headed out.

You pursed your lips, then sighed, nervous for tomorrow.
