My dad was going to get some take-out from that Mexican restaurant we like a lot.
He left slightly after 7 o'clock, I can't remember the exact time.
My mom and I were listening to the song "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5.
It was close to 8 when we started to wonder where Dad was.
We called him but he didn't pick up.
We called the restaurant.
No one had arrived to pick up our food.
We are panicking.

At 48 hours we filed a missing persons report.
The police started looking for my Dad and they interrogated us like criminals.
We're scared.
They've been looking for a couple of hours.
They haven't found anything.
I haven't left my bedroom.

They found him.
It was a hit and run car crash.
He never got to the restaurant.
He died as soon as the other car crashed into his car.
He's dead.
My father's dead.
They found him and he's dead.

I can not keep going.
I just can't move on.
My father died two years ago.
People tell me to move on.
I'm homeschooled.
When I turned 12 my Dad wanted me to go to public school.
I'm scared.
I miss my Dad.

Public school wasn't bad.
I met a ton people.
Especially this girl that I met named Laney, she is short and has really long, curly bright red hair.
She talks a lot.
She is in almost all of my classes.
