Chapter 1: Stares

The year was 1987....... haha just kidding!

My name is Emily White and I'm your typical average 16 year old girl. Ok fine. Maybe not typically average but I come close to it. I do regret to inform you that I am desperately in love with books, drawing and of coarse school. My friend Molly is classified as the popular cheerleader who gets all the guys. Don't even get me started with my love life, the only boy who has every shown any respect and care towards me is my gay best friend Daniel.
Well, that's me.
But my world does change, all because of one stupid no good (sexy looking) boy, Justin.

It all started on a rainy Monday, about 2 weeks into the school year. Mr. Dalope, my math teacher, was giving the class a lesson on a new topic of algebra. Even I was dreading this class. But my whole day changed as soon as an unfamiliar face of a boy walked in precisely 5 minutes after I internally groaned for the fifth time in one minute, and immediately starred right directly at me. Did he even blink?! Creep.
Our old ass principal Mrs.Turnlock entered the class shortly behind the unfamiliar faced creepy boy.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is our new student Justin Bieber".
The slight mumbles of the bored students were heard in the back but I just couldn't help keep my eyes off the boy staring directly at me.
I think my friend Molly noticed because she slapped me on the shoulder and said something about not to stare or kill a zombie or something. I don't know. I was too lost in the devious stare of the new student.

Suddenly I heard my name and snapped out of my intense stare. Mr. Dalope assigned the new boy's seat right behind mine. Damn now I really wish I had eyes at the back of my head so I could stare at the boy more.
Holy shit. Now I'm hearing it. I'm the CREEP not him! I gotta stop this!

The boy, Justin, took his seat behind me and all I could do was smell his manly sent of his cologne. Yum!

No! No! No! Stop it Emily! You're better than this!

Our old ass of a principal left the class and Mr. Dalopes lesson continued.  He then handed out the homework to do right before the bell rung for lunch. I quickly grabbed my bag and the homework sheet and left with Molly trailing behind me.
I let out a huge breathe I didn't even know I was holding in.

"Wow that new guy Jake is a total hottie" Molly said to me in a somewhat quiet voice.
"Meh. I don't think so"
"You guys stared at each other for like 20 minutes"
"No I wasn't staring I was daydreaming" I lied.
"Yeah daydreaming about your future with him"
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes and flushed in embarrassment. Molly went to go see her boyfriend Tom right after our stupid conversation and I started to make my way to the library to eat lunch.
Yeah ok whatever, I know I'm a loner, but I love books so..... it's only fair if I eat with them too. Nope you're right, I'm lame.

I was just about to open the door to the library until I heard a husky voice say hey behind me. I turned around and saw Justin. Oh great.

"Hey" he repeated in his manly voice.
"You said that already" I said back.
He chuckled "I'm Justin"
"I know that." I realized what I just said and quickly finished my sentence. "I m-mean the principal a-already introduced y-you." God I sound like a freak!
He chuckled again "And you are?"
"Emily. Emily White" I answered.
"I heard there was going to be a party tonight to kick off the school year, I'm going are you?"
"Probably not, I'm not much of a party type."
"Oh" I looked into his eyes and saw, sadness? "I would've liked you to come" he finished
"Well maybe I'll go, I don't know, I'll see"
"Great! I hope to see you there" and he walked away.

Not bad for my first conversation with a boy who isn't gay.

I finally enter the library and see Daniel already waiting for me.

"Hey Danny" I set my lunch down and pick up a book to read. Hmm, Romeo and Juliet? Seems okay.
"Hey! Who was that? He looked hella hot"
"Oh, that's Justin, the new kid."
"Damn, looks like he's into you"
My cheeks flushed a dark red and I try to hide behind my book even more.
"No he doesn't. He was just asking if I was going to the kick off party tonight"
"Okaaaayy! Whatever you saaaaayyy"

I would like to know more about this boy, maybe I will go to this party. Maybe.
